I've misplaced the other thread, but couldn't help popping over considering the mysterious disappearance of Red's eyes whenever I appear. Very Bizarre. if I weren't paranoid I'd think there was something strange happening. .
Anyway, how are things? 5 minutes till I finish, and then I'm off for the weekend. I am taking myMum to see 'The Incredibles' at the Cinema on Monday. I don't know the German translation. I France it is 'The Indestructables' as I was there on a day-trip monday. It was ok, but the sea was like glass, and I prefer it rough......
Anyway, keep a watch on the eyes.... They are out to get me. Honest.....

Yay I got it right

Well, I notice the 'eyes' are staying a little longer now. I must be behaving myself .
How was your weekend? Mine was- Saturday- shopping, and then realising at 20:00 that I hadn't eaten since 15:00 friday...
Sunday was spent washing and ironing as per usual, while monday I took my Mum to see 'The Incredibles' (A Pixar cartoon) Not bad, although slow to start.
Now it's the long weekly slog to Saturday and my last gig of the year.
Anyway, stay well, and I'm pleased you were careful wirh your title-change....Could have been tricky!!!!

My weekend was nice and quiet. Next Saturday, we're invited to a birthday party ( the 30th of hubby's colleague)fortunately, it's not far from here, so if we get we can walk home -or crawl

I know now the translation of the 'Incredibles' - 'die Unglaublichen', so a literal translation.

Good to see you. There isn't an expression like that here. Our preference is 'The lights are on, but no-one's at home.'
Actually I am quite pleased that I rate a 'you're a Dork' expression. Looks like a fun afternoon.

- you're talking about xmas - it's more or less three days here, cause the main event is on Christmas eve, the shops close at 13.00, and in the evening, the family stands round the tree, singing carols, reciting poems - well, the small children do , and then everybody gets the presents.
The next two days are bank holidays here.
I wish it was all over yet, new year's eve included

You, Lorraine and I seem in the same boat. Chr*tm*s is not my favourite period, and the second of January cannot come soon enough. Also it is my Department's Chr*stm*a Dinner this evening, which I really can't get myself excited about. My 19 year old work colleague, however, is bouncing off the walls. Oh to be young again....
Still, the good thing is it is only 25 days to go!!!!!

I hope the dinner will be nice, even if it's not exciting
I don't want to BE that young again, but I wouldn't mind if I looked young
25 days -doesn't sound much the way you put it, but I could do without a couple of those days . I know there was something else I wanted to tell you or ask you - but it's gone, must be my age - perhaps I should wish to be young again, eh ?

I work on the principle that while my brain feels young, so do I, even if the body disagrees. In my mind I'm still eighteen, just trapped in a 60 year old body....
Anyway, it needs a few of us, of a certain age, to keep this site otherwise it would be far too sensible.

Ah, we women probably are descendents from 'Sleeping beauty' - 115 years old, but so refreshed by that long sleep, that we only look 15

Oh, and red was still there when I looked

Me? Squash? Sport? Now that is good!!! I wouldn't know which end of the 'bat' to hold.
My secret is to grow and shave my beard at intermittent periods, which confuses the h*ck out of everyone..... It is currently whisker-less... so back to a youthful 40(?) year old

Hello Claudia,
Survived the Chr*stm*s bash, although it was a very claustrophobic basement room, so the nerve boundaries were pushed. The food was reasonable,and cool. The wine was good and expensive. (£15+ per bottle and Lager at £3:50 per 330ml bottle). The good news was that we left at 20:00, so I reached my local at 23:30 for their 10th Anniversary party. Home at 02:00. Not bad. At least I had a decent or three... and free into the bargain.
How are things with you? Judging from your tag, you seem stressed! Or are you seeing how many anagrams you can make? .
My Chr*stm*s stree levels are rising by the day, and the Female Hormone/Stress/B*tch levels are sky high today, so I'm keeping my head down and staying very quiet. And there are still 16 days to go!!!!!
