QoD nowhere near as good as the book, and read them all, even the dubious ones under pen names. Anne has to be one of the most vesatile authors about at the moment, and for the last few years come to that. And its unfair she gets to know New Orleans, when my first book: Mice I have eaten and loved, didnt even get me enough to get over the pond.
Ah well, alls fair in love and eating. Feed Well!!!!

i used to read all the time but i havnt done much reading in a very long time! used to write aswell but that seems like many lifetimes ago now

i think the book is always better than the film, and if you read the book 1st the film is usually disappointing so i try to see the films 1st though sadly i must confess i havnt read either yet but i will get round to it

bookwise? is there anyone else other than Stoker/Rice? lol ill read any decent horror to do with or Were or but i dont really care for slash 'em ups or zombies or horror if you know what i mean..another author ive been into of recent years is Maeve Binchy, nothing whatsoever to do with horror, more so to do with where she comes from and the characters from other decades, she fascinates me and like a good story i can become completely absorbed!

only other smiley i know is this 1 ----> take a look on the smileys page they update that every now and again or you could post to 'Amy the Ant' i think she has a hand in some of the artwork on here so if you post to her im sure she can point you in the right direction of the person you should pester constantly till they cave and give you what you want lol

Any book is worth reading, even if only to then discuss how dire u thought it was.As Im sure u kmow,us cats read by sitting on printed matter (preferably when a human is trying to read it) so can get through loads.

never heard of Robinson Davies or Rupert Thompson, so what have they penned? im presuming they are authors

Davies was canadian, and has penned various tomes: Deptford Trilogy, Salterton Trilogy to name but two, plus humerous (sic) works.
Very knowing about history, myth etc, and works it in in an excellent manner: Informing, but not cliched.

Thompson is just himself-undescribable, but again, very competent, and has a broard spread of knowledge. Try 'Dreams Of Leaving'.

Must go and see if the moles have undermined the enemy camp yet.

thanks Rob, i havent read a good book in ages, sounds just what i need to get my imagination worked up, i might just take a look in my local bookshop next week..theyre pretty good, if they dont have any book your looking for they order it off the net immediately and its delivered within 7 days

i may be about, if its worth staying..we'll see how it goes..i pop in and out of here most days when im bored
