My ad banner is getting desperate and has now narrowed itself down to the things I really buy. But, even if those bunches of flowers are long-lasting, I don't think a Christmas arrangement will last till next Christmas.

My ad banner says it's not an ad, then it posts gas mileage figures for some Honda SUV. I will never buy an SUV.

WSU = success

Worcester State University is in Worcester, Massachusetts. It used to be called Worcester State Teachers College.

slow watches

I believe those are simply 24 hour watches rather than 12 hour ones; possibly also without a minute hand. Some of them are rather elegant in their simplicity, others can be quite complicated.

Just had an ad for B2B rates. Had to look up what that means (business-to-business). I had within the last hour mentioned a large sum of money in an email. Coincidence? [ominous chords]

Okay, the following *is* scary:

About two hours ago I bought some socks at J C Penney's a store that's located about forty miles west of where I live. As far as I now, Google has no way of knowing what happens with the credit card I used to pay for the socks. Despite this, when I logged on to H2G2 just now, there was an ad for men's clothing at J C Penney's.

This is too much of a coincidence! smiley - cross

If Google can figure out what I buy with a credit card, who knows what the hackers can find out?

Okay, now I'm getting an ad for High Country gardens, a website from which I've bought potted plants in the past. What makes this an unusual ad, though, is that January is not a prime month for ordering things to plant outside. smiley - winkeye

More High country gardens. I think I received a catalog from them not long ago. smiley - huh

A new twist. In the space normally occupied by a single banner ad, I'm seeing basically links to three ads. It's a blue rectangle with three sections. The first leads to a Tahitian cruise ad, the second advertises my current mobile device, and the third is for historical clothing. The 2nd and 3rd are no doubt keyed on my search history.

That sounds like a Google Analytics three-way tie smiley - smiley

Blank space today - not even a box outline or a link.

Confused.com – save £271 on car insurance
I don't drive, so unless they give me £271 I don't think that's likely…

I just had the three-in-one blue box with a variety of offers which, now I have changed windows to write this, I have immediately forgotten. Whatever they are advertising now isn't very specific about what it actually is.

They still want me to buy clothes at J C Penney, but they're also pushing CITY Bank.

Still don't have a car.

Which, in fact, they have actually done since I posted that, though I was the one they sent the ads to, namely the Honda Accord.
