Nonametraveller Posted Aug 15, 2003
Good Morning
How you doing today....another glorious one it would seem. Mind you the temperature does seemed to have cooled a little.
I'm good...seem to be sleeping very well lately...not that i normally have a problem but i have been struggling a bit since i arrived back in the uk. Probably just thinking too much about 'where to next' and what i am going to do to make a living if i stay etc etc.
I have just been watching sky again and it looks like plenty of people were stuck in manhattan for the night...what a bummer. the consequences of something like that are quite frightening really...hospitals, airports, nuclear reactors and gawd knows what else are in deep shit without power.
So what have you got lined up for the day/ weekend?

It is scary, remember hitting the millenium, and ppl thought everything would shut-down! Some ppl where truly frightened!
My weekend, was out last night, went into Windsor, met up with a few ppl, and ended up going to a Tapas bar, really nice too much tequila and everything though! Working today, then out for a mad one with my friend tonight, then working tom during the day!
What have you got planned?
Blind Conversation
Nonametraveller Posted Aug 16, 2003
Yeah i remember it well...a lot of people made a lot of money from it!!
In Sa we had people building complete shelters and barricades around their houses with a years supply of whatever....you had to laugh when some of them were interviewed on tv.....looked even sillier when nothing happened!!
That was one of my favourite new years evr as it goes...i was puffing only and watched the whole world celebrate from one side to the other on sky...some of the pagan ceremonys were excellant...as well as all the normal festivities
I am off to a tapas bar next weel called Momos...somewhere near Bond street i think...do you know it?...love those places....brilliant for a mael out with a few friends.
I am thinking of going out clubbin tonight...see how i feel later
Then some friends are wanting to come over tomorrow...feeling very lethargic about 'jolling' at the mo so i shall see how i feel later.
am more into making a plan and moving forward so i guess my mind is wrapped around that just now...but people are nagging me now ...lol so i may well give it some.

HELP_IM_LOST (why are there not enough hours in the day?) Posted Aug 16, 2003

Nonametraveller Posted Aug 16, 2003
Yeah for sure...it was a complete lifestyle for me for years...and it always the ones 'the saturday night merchants' i call them (bless em) who do the nagging...drives me dilly...they hav no clue what real freedom is and think that becuse i choose to have some quiet times there must be something wrong!!...(throws toys around a bit....lol)
hey you too hun...take care

HELP_IM_LOST (why are there not enough hours in the day?) Posted Aug 17, 2003
Hey, i prob fall into the catergory of a Sat night merchant have to go out and enjoy myself, but then i do know how to enjoy my quiet time as well!
How has your weekend been? Mine has been great, best weekend ive had for a long time
Blind Conversation
Nonametraveller Posted Aug 17, 2003
no i wouldn't say so...from what you tell me i would not say so at all....apart from the fact that in a sense your work gets you out so to speak. Not to mention the fact that you have a little fella in your life........lol
Great to hear you had a good one...certainly beats last weekend..hey
yeah mines been fine...i went out to a little kinda restaurant/speakeasy/club in Epsom last night...got chatting with some people and went on to an italian party which was very nice..
Other than that though it has been another one of chilling and enjoyinmg the space...my last week of it now so i am enjoying it all the more.
Slowly forming an idea of the steps i am going to take too ...so that is nice...was getting a bit fidgety back there.
Brother phoned...but to be honest i have come to the conclusuon that he is so full of shit that i found it difficult to be really chatty with him...still have not seen him and i have been here over three months already....telling me about some regatta he sailed in this weekend ...i guess you would of loved it, apparently it was on an old 1920's yacht....30 footer off the mersey isle in essex...wherever that is.

HELP_IM_LOST (why are there not enough hours in the day?) Posted Aug 18, 2003
Yes, i would have loved that I miss the sailing so much! A friend of mine does a lot of work with kids clubs (children with difficulties), and she has said that if i can get Luke to go to his nan's for a week next year, i can go and help with the club when they go away, and its a lot of watersports! So i might do it
The weekend was MUCH better than last, couldnt have been any worse!
Sounds like you had a good one!
So may i ask what steps you are thinking of taking then? Thats if im not being to nosey!
What day is your family back on then? Bet the space has been lovely!
Shame about your brother, we BOTH seem to have great relationships with our families My mum is over in 2 days cant wait to see her

Morning ...must be radar...i see you have just posted me...lol
Was up late last night so i have only jusy gotten up...still busy with my first tea!!....beautiful morning here...definitely spending some time in the garden today.
I pick then up on thursday night...so i still have a few days left yet..i have thoroughly enjoyed the space but i will also look forward to seeing them all again and getting back into the groove.
I am not sure if i am going to be able to build any decent bridges with my brother..which is a shame..but if i do i will see if i can get you organised with some sailing..i know he is pretty well connected...mind you so is the old man....would you like me to ask if anything is available for someone who has a passion to do it occasionally?
Well pleased for you to have an above average one...would of hated you to of had two shitty ones in a row...
yeah i enjoyed it...even though the days are all mingling into one at the present...something nice about sunday mornings when the papers come through the door and you know that nearly everyone else is chilling too.
Well, i am thinking that i would at least like to give it a fair go over here, however i am not really interested in getting some hum drum job so to speak...that being the case i need to do my own thing...and at the moment i am looking at the possibility of opening a sandwich/deli/wine bar type of place and at the same time asking myself if it is something i would really enjoy...so far the answers are yes...need to look at a few more things yet, but at least i have a bit of a plan. Then of course i would do my writing on the side, i am absolutely sure that i can make some nice tom doing it and would thoroughly enjoy it too, but reality needs to kick in really, i am not interested in being some 'hard up struggling writer' so to speak...if you know what i mean.
how long is your mum hee for....you must be getting excited about the wedding...is it this weekend?
Blind Conversation
HELP_IM_LOST (why are there not enough hours in the day?) Posted Aug 19, 2003
Yes, the wedding is this Sat, and my mum is over Weds to the Monday just doing loads of housework at the mo, make sure everything is spotless I love a tidy house, but nowhere near as bad as my mum!
I know of a couple of ways to get back into sailing again, i cant afford to join a sailing club, but what im hoping is to get my son into Sea Cadets, and then i can just tag along to 'help' out as the say
Sandwich/wine bar, would be hard work, long hours, but very nice idea indeed!
Well have a good day! Ive gone and lost my voice, which is great! Catch you later
Blind Conversation
Nonametraveller Posted Aug 19, 2003
I guess the wedding must be starting to 'kick in ' now so to speak , as in preparations etc. Have you taken the week off while your mum is here?...i guess you will be offline quite a bit ...if not for the whole time she is here...if so i just want to say that i shall be holding thumbs that everything goes perfectly for you all and that you have an absolute corker on the day.
That should give you plenty of chance to get back into it...do they still have sailing at the welsh harp do you know?...i know that is where all the local sea cadet sailing took place in the past.
Long hours or hard work does not bother me at all...never has...and it is not as if i have a big social circle here either, so i figure that in a way it would compensate that to a certain extent as well. Still need to look at a few things, but i am going to start making myself busier next week....holiday over....lol.
You been shouting at all the guys with the pick up lines again....lol
You'll have to be quiet for a day or two...
Also ....have a great one..laters toots....Buon giorno signorita

Yes, the wedding plans are really kicking in now! Had the rehersal tonight, went really well apart from the tension between me and the other bridesmaid! Oh well, we will just have to get along for my sisters benefit!
The welsh harp, to be honest i have never heard of it, i used to sail at Ruislip Lido, and then we used to go away to Brighton for weekends Her name was Story-Line, and i beleive she was a 36ft'er if memory serves me right, and she was a 7 berth!
Nope, havent been shouting at the guys, just my son, i have been having probs with him over the past 2 months, attitude prob, not doing as he is told and being quite rude! Ppl used to say to me what a polite, wellbehaved boy he is, i feel he has lost those qualities so coming down on him hard at the mo! I havent been able to get the time of work while my mum is over, (cant afford it) so while im at work my mum will be looking after Luke for me, if any can help me sort Luke out my mum will! So hopefully by the time she has gone he would have found his manners again! Children
Long hours, not too bad if you are the boss, as you can go away whenever you want well my boss does anyway!
So what have you been up to?
Im chilling at the mo, about the last time i will get for about a week!

Morning babes,
lol...no doubt you will be grrrring at this comment but ....i am wondering if it was ordained that you lose your voice at this precise time to lessen the chance of grief at the rehearshal...lmao.
the welsh harp is a huge piece of water in hendon next to the North Circular...big sailing venue...well at least it used to be!!.sounds like a lovely boat.
i hope you get things right with Luke...well i am sure you will but hopefully it will come sooner rather than later. I notice with our Ollie that he a;lways has more attitude when he has been visiting and staying over with certain kids.
The long hours will be nice.....and as you say i will have some kind of staff so i would be able to chill in the quiet times if need be. If i do it i would kinda live it totally for the first year or two at least.
Me ...i've been doing the usual i guess..making the most of these last few days alone...chillin...walking...on the comp...been doing a few things to tidy up the garden a bit too. have been having a nice time...will also be nice to have them back again as well.
good to hear that you have taken a breather...as you say you are not going to have too much time for yourself over the next few days.
Have a ball sugar.x
