Well i ment to post this last ngiht, sorry.
Yesterday afternoon i went to see my doctor. Im finally getting a coil fitted next thursday. She wasnt wild about it, but id forget to take the pill and the injection pill id forget to update it every 12 weeks, so this seemed the best bet. Also coz if i go to uni i dont want to be in and out from the doc. So thats a step forward right?

That's why some folk use spermicide as well.

Most just have a lubricant, though now there are some with a spermicide in them available.

What everone tells me is that you should really use a combination - a condom and the pill, or something like that. More than one, even less chance of it not working.

Well.... my doc seems to think thaty the only 100% certain way is to have teh injection pill coz its fail safe apparently, but it relies on you going every 12 weeks anyway....

Like Feuille said, a combination seems to be the most effective.

It sounds like you know what you're doing. The combination method is of course the best one to adopt. Also, I have read that condoms with spermicides (not that uncommon are they?) are even more effective in preventing std's. Every twelve weeks just means marking your calendar for a year, keeping the calendar somewhere you will see it, and then going for the injection. Considering the possible outcome I doubt you will ever forget.
