Dammit, now I'll never know! I'll be unsure whether I'm censoring myself or imagining things forever! Noooo!

There there! You won't NEVER know!
Just let yourself...imagine what you want...smiley - erm?

I'm not sure, that's the problem. If I knew how other people knew, I'd know, but... oh, I don't know!

Well me, I only like guys until I liked my girlfriend...smiley - erm I don't know of anything to suggest...things will most likely become clearer as time goes on, right?

Hmm, maybe I'll stay a few more minutes. I'm reading your short story, Feuille. But incidentally, I heard something along the lines of sexuality being more fluid in females.

Ah, the Jedi one right?

Really? Hmm! I hadn't heard that but I can see why...

Mal

Yup; not half bad (and despite the millions of times I've heard that said, right now I can't figure out if it's meant to be positive or negative, so assume I mean it positively...)

When I read that, I figured that it was probably more to do with society and culture than anything innate.

Wow, thanks! smiley - smiley It's sometimes so easy to write, because all the plots DONE, I just have to adapt it...but then again that makes it hard too...

Definitely culture/society, definitely.

Yeah, I'd have thought that it confines it all a little; I dabble in the art of transcripted procrastination smiley - biggrin myself, and I wouldn't be able to stand working in a world which someone else had created, it'd be like sleeping in someone else's bed, or wearing someone else's (smaller) clothes. Ugh. Don't think i could do that.

The whole culture thing really pees me off. It's just stupid. Aargh! And it annoys me that apparently I won't find out if I am, until I definetly are. If you see what I mean.

Post 73

U521150

Well it's sometimes confining but I like to see it as a challenge, and it's a lot of fun...I mean it's from a dozen people at the least, when it gets going later, and it's fun to see things posted earlier connect to later things, even when it wasn't meant...it's nice to have prebuilt characters that I can expand on?

I do see what you mean. And the culture thing, YES! Sometimes, culture is sooo annoying!

step forward

Post 74

Mal

But if they're prebuilt, you can't add things that go against their nature, or change too much, if you see what I mean... Still, I guess it means that if you find a book or film you really, really love, you can join in with it, in a sense...

I was about to tell you a few examples that showed how the annoying culture thing has worked against me horribly in the past, but couldn't because there are a few people I know who I wouldn't like to read about it. Then I realised that if that wasn't a perfect example of how culture represses people, what is? I shouldn't HAVE to be worried about these people seeing it on Hootoo.*

*Of course, I still am...

U521150

Yeah I know what you mean...though there is QUITE a lot of things missing, that I get to put in myself, lots of unseen character development that I get to do, I rather like it - it makes a change from normal story writing, which I do too.

You're right, that is a rather good example smiley - biggrinsmiley - ermsmiley - cry

Any other examples of your writing on Hootoo or beyond? I'm always interested to read the work of others.

Damn those crazy examples. And the culture that breeds them. Damn macho-ness and feminimity and the sudden vogue of claiming that one is bi. Damn them all...

No, not on h2g2, I've got a couple typed up on my computer though. Four, to be exact, of varying lengths. Email?

*joins the damnations*

This is how unbelievably lazy I am: my email is on my personal space. Right down by the bottom. In fact, that's not even lazy; there's no name for this; I've spent more energy typing this than I would have just saying it!

Ah, this list of damnations could go on and on. And it will; only inside my head, unless I think of a particularly funny one...

Woudl you like me to email them to you? They're very...odd.

Thankyou very much!

Wow, the topic's wandered so far and lonely that I can't even remember what it originally was! Oops...
