Hi! PM, Next time Im on Kazza I will have a look for it
Thats what Ive been doing really, putting all my collection onto CD who knows maybe our next car will have a CD player in it
Mk2 recently bought on of those Portable DVD players with her bingo winnings! Its a great wee thing, and what a clear sound & picture you get!! Its just amazing what all this modern Techy stuff can do Eh!
A far cry from our old days with the vynil and 8 track players

hi smudger...
i was in asda the other day and bumped into my aunt, which suprised me as she doesn't like going out these days... (sound familiar.. lol.)
she wasn't alone tho', with her daughter, my cousin... we got talking about school kids and computers as my little un was with us... then we went back to how we used to have the old black n white tellys with the old dial knob, trying to tune the channel in.. (yeah, all two of 'em... lol)
yeah, technology eh...

Smudger879n Posted Sep 19, 2004
Hi PM, Yep I remember them old tellies I dont mind going out to ASDAs if its during the week, as its a bit quieter then
Mk2 gets on of their scooters, and I get a chance to look around the Techie bits
Its a big store we have here, and they sell everything! In fact thats where Mk2 is right now with one of her sisters, leaving me in peace on my PC
I see them old style radios are back in fashion? they are making reproductions of them, the Phillips one with the large dial

our local asda is fairly big and sells lots of stuff.. they're open 24 hours.. well from 8 mon. morn to 10pm sat.. then a 10-4 on sun...
there's a big hypermarket one on the way to my daughters but we've not been in there yet...

Ah! Supermarkets and Hypermarkets
do you remember the old Grocers shop, where they had a chair for you to sit in while he sliced your bacon and ground your coffee beans?
and all the women went shopping with a straw basket, and the sawdust on the floor of the butchers shop?
Ah! happy days

The little blue bags they put sugar in,the tiangular white bags we had our sweets in,and the loose butter sure everything tasted better then.

We have forgotten ours too!
It was when a lot of unusual things were going on.
It is better to forget than dread it or be worried about making it another year or ten. Least that is how I looked at it!
And better you both forgot so you can laugh (even if it takes a while)rather than one of you crying.
My computer was acting very badly yesterday
The new windows security upgrade is causing most of the hassles I think. The on-off switch burned up earlier and totally shut it down, that was cheap to fix - thank goodness!
Hope you can put on some weight smudger.
I have to work at it also. It is no fun to *force feed* yourself enough to gain. I was taken off the Ultram (I think Tramadol is generic name)because of stomach troubles, not sure if you are still on that. My headaches got much better after stopping it.
