hi sal, so glad to hear from you again... i've had probs accessing your page....
i know what you're going thru' darling.... the flashing lights and only seeing half of what you're looking at, it's really frightening at times.... i lie on the bed with my eyes shut and try to concentrate on the flashes getting smaller and smaller..... it's terrible when it happens while you're out tho'...... it makes me sickly too.....
and as for vertigo, well i can't even stand up outdoors for fear of toppling over.... not much steadier indoors.... the bloody pills don't seem to do much only make me drowsy so that makes me more dizzy..... i can sympathise sal, believe me..... n
sheryl.....

Sal my love sorry to hear about your prob, i dont suffer with it babe, but did look up some info, its not much will get some more if you need it! in the mean time this is some of what i found, seems that some sort of soothing music helps! dont know how true this is, but will look up aura migraine as well take care sweetie, hope your better soon heres what i found its an inner ear abnormality that causes fluctuating levels of hearing loss, vertigo (a sensation that the world is spinning), tinnitus, (ringing), or a feeling of fullness in the affected ear,it also has the name Meniere's disease,
and the use of soft soothing music known as white sound, can aid in relaxing.

Hi Sal,
I'm sorry I can't help you out with the vertigo because I've never had it (just as well considering that I live on the 7th floor!) but I'm a chronic migraine sufferer and have been since I was a teenager, in other words for many years!
I've tried just about everything for the migraine, both natural and synthetic but to be quite honest it all works the first two or three times then I just seem to get immune to whatever I'm taking and the pain just stays there until it goes of its own accord. Right now I'm taking something made by Boots, I buy it here in Spain and it's called Hemicraneal (probably has a different name in the UK) and it really does relieve the pain but it makes me feel very nauseous. However, I'd rather put up with that than the dreadful pain that comes with migraine when I really want to bang my head against the wall to try to make it go away (the pain not my head!)
I'm also looking for help on the internet so if I come across anything, I'll let you know.
Take care,
love
Suzanne

hi suzanne, thanks for your message love,it does help knowing that other people have the same problems .i dont envy you one bit,it must be terrible when the pain is so bad.thats the silly thing about migraine,i get flashing lights, and allsorts of patterns in front of my eyes, but the headache is never really ,really bad.if i could draw what i see when i'm having an attack i think i could become famous for being an artisti did join an association for sufferers once, but it was a long time ago,and it turned out to be more of a newsletter.anyway, enough about me,i hope youre okay love,is the weather nice at the moment, cos its horrible here
.hope to chat to you soonthanks again.

abbi normal "Putting on the Ritz" with Dr Frankenstein Posted May 7, 2003
I drew pictures of my squigglies and patterns seen for my Dr. They went to the nuerologists in the building. They were thankful after all the descriptions to have a patient draw what they saw.
I am fortunate in that the aura comes long before the headache so i can go into a relaxation (self hypnosis) mode, take something and usually get a grip on it. The pattern will change when it is there to stay for a while. I have the aura most of the time too.
Vertigo is really nasty stuff. It does make you feel most insecure about leaving home too I have had people think I was drunk, I am sure. It can be so disorienting with the horizon changing
, the nausea and all
I have known a few Dr.s affected by vertigo. Very hard to function consistently. Do you have (noises)tinnitus too?
Good Luck, I hope you find some relief.
