hi sheryl, this's a bit of a different weekend for me, I'm not scheduled to do my kitchen duties at the club - I'm usually there Fri & Sat nights, so I've got my evenings free (or at least had my Fri. evening free - I 'll likely go over for part of the evening...y'know, just to listen to the music, & have a Big Rock (one of our local beer) Traditional or 2...the place has 2 on tap - the Trad., which is a dark & Grasshopper, which is Big Rock's pale wheat ...or, there's mi amigo (my friend, Mr.) senor Corona - a Mexican pale (thats brewed up here, under contract, I think), I usually have that with the traditional wedge/slice of lime - for more about my drinking habits, go to 'www...' ... & s, your friend darrell

i don't drink much in the way of beers, although i do like the occassional guinness.... don't know if you have that over there.... it's an irish brew... a really dark rich stout with a lovely creamy head, if poured right....
my main tipple is the vodka... , think i mentioned before i usually drink it straight, but on occassions with tonic water, or tomatoe juice...
i don't like to drink anything sweet tasting, things like those cream liqures and such.... if i do drink wine i prefer a full bodied red, but then i'm prone to headaches because of the tannin.....
not that i drink a lot you understand.... strickly medicinal.....pmplol.... (yeah, right..)
catch ya later darrell my love.... sheryl....xxxxxxx

yes sheryl, we've got Guinness...I drink a couple of those every now & then too...although they just have it in cans at the club (or "The Suite" as we sometimes refer to it)I was having one after the show last year - at the end of the night & aroused the curiosity of the musician that weekend, a black man from Louisiana(southern States), who I suspect might not have seen a beer darker than his skin colour lol to get it from the tap, I'd have to go to; O'Byrne's (Irish pub), The Black Dog, The Elephant & Castle, Sherlock Holmes, possibly Squires, or any of the actual 'drinkeries'like The Stonehouse Pub downtown (near the center of the city).

actually guinness is supposed to be good for you, (in moderation,) because of it's iron content... i do find it a pick me up.... hey, i've just remembered i've got a can in the fridge... may have it later with the takeaway...
just ordered southern fried chicken, garlic pizza, hot n spicy pizza, deep fried mushrooms with garlic sauce and a tray of donner meat.... no, not all for me... it's between my hubby, daughter and myself.... lol....
catch ya later darling....

yes sheryl/drinking habits, pt. 2 :
don't really drink much wine, although when I do I prefer it quite dry...had tried a very good Portuegese red awhile back...my brother though, makes his own wine as he married a French-Canadian, & her family are big wine drinkers - you can be sure there're at least 2 bottles of wine on the table at any big meal there (of course I'm the odd man out, with my Corona or Molson's Canadian.)
I like a good shot of Bailey's in my (or Tia Maria or Kahlua - coffee liquers) but I'm not really a frequent drinker & tend not to be too fussy, as long as theres a (usually) significant alcohol content ~ Guinness are only 4.2% I believe & the Smirnoff Ice are 7%...
take care luv, hope the neck 'n' shoulders are ok & raise a vodka to me sometime, ok ~ I'll try to do the same & s, your friend darrell
