Many thanks for your compliments, ladies! The truth is I'm a great fixer-upper. If you could see me right this minute you'd find NO reason to hate me at all. Sweaty, dirty from the garden, and with a great frizzled mop piled atop my head. Just, as a makeup artist, I know how to access all the tricks of the trade to accentuate the good stuff. Everyone is beautiful, ya know.

Yeah right, that's what all gorgeous women say - 'I look totally a sight first thing in the morning!' (or straight from the garden). As for 'frizzled mop' DON'T GET ME STARTED!!!

So, nobody believes you, MoG, you're just beautiful and you are going to have to learn to live with it!

In that case I shall graciously accept being called gorgeous, while privately sniggering at the memory of a friend's shock and awe when he saw me go into the bathroom in my sweats one morning and emerge 45 minutes later ready for work. He thoroughly agreed that I'm a tribute to my profession.

Periodically Fotki does updates and overhauls. It may also be a problem with a particular server. I find it down less often than I did one of the other sites I used to use.
