So how are you big SIS?

Havent "seen" you around much and was a little worried by something I sensed in the tone of your Email. I hope you start to pick up soon you are much too nice a person to others that you should not take some of that same care you lavish on others and apply it to yourslf.

Things are still rumbling along as they have been with you know who while you seem to be picking more waifs like echo to look after and being assailed by *new* characters on your PS.

Ive moved in with my cousin and might end up here for a long time depending on how things turn out in other areas of my life. The dogs have settled in OK. Things could be better but they could be a whole lot worse financially and emotionally so on the whole I feelsmiley - smiley
right now.

hallo ducky! smiley - smooch

Well, since my email things have perked up a bit here. See the 'hi alex' thread for details. smiley - smiley

Yeah, the echo thing was a bit weird, but she sent me a lovely email thanking me (and Noggin) for our efforts - it turned out my instincts were correct and she very much appreciated our help.

As for the new character on my PS - ick. Like I need this? I decided to just be rude back to them, and you know I am not usually intentionally rude. But enough is enough already.

Re: the email. Since you are living at your cousin's now maybe you can still make it here for a holiday? (if your cousin will look after the dogs?). I will admit to you that, feeling a bit down last week, part of my warped reasoning for not wanting you to come was so you wouldn't see me SO FAT. I know that's silly but apparently I look MUCH BIGGER in person than I do in that second photo in my gallery (even though I'm exactly the same weight). And I think I was feeling too vulnerable last week to deal with anyone thinking I looked fat and horrid.

So, the invitation is still on. I'm going to have very little work during Easter week so you could easily take over my teaching room (I think most of the classes I have that week will be out of the house anyhow).

Check out Ryanair - they have some good deals going on right now.

And sorry for getting all emotionally stupid last week. smiley - blush

Dont say emotional like its a bad thing and Ive never known you to be stupid. So there!

I will certainly have a look and certainly would never tell a lady she looks anything but lovely. I never judge people by their size anyway or set anything by it.

At the moment Im trying to sort things out for a trip to Mexico in the summer for a friends wedding even without the expense there's all the jabs and such to sort out. So Im going to have to register witha smiley - doctor something I havent got around too for the last eight months.

Im glad your feeling better in yourself.

smiley - tongueout

Yes, of course you are still welcome smiley - smooch but I'm not on holiday during that time so you may have to get up early on the mornings I'm teaching at home.

Is it a direct flight to Seville? Tell me more!

I'm excited too! smiley - wow

Well, we'll need to know what time you get in. I work until 9pm on Wednesdays, but if I'm busy Noggin says he can meet you at the airport.

Actually, I was asking if the flight came directly here rather than, say, Madrid or Malaga (which would be a drag).

More details please! smiley - smiley

And another question . . . do you drive?

Post 469

No I dont drive for the sake of my mental health and other peoples well being.

I havent booked any tickets yet but hopefully I'll get round to all the details come the latter part of this week.

I dont care if no one comes to the airport to get me getting lost ina strange city is one of the best things Ive found for finding things you'd have never seen if you werent lost.

Although I like the fact that you thought of itsmiley - kiss. Me and my independent streak eh!

Well, you might also like to consider that if you get met at the airport and take the airport bus back with your 'escort' (not sure if it will be me or Noggin) then you will save about 20 euros in taxi fare.

However, if you are Mr Moneybags, then I will send you a note to give the taxi driver at the airport - just so he doesn't take you totally someplace else with a similar street name (this has happened before with friends visiting).

How can you not drive??? Noggin doesn't drive either - I thought he was an aberration! Well, never mind. Was just thinking about a possible day-trip, but we could always take the train.

So, have you booked your ticket? If you leave it too long then you may find there are no seats left.

Let me know, okay?

Yes, you *will* have to wash, though going to bed (well to the comfy air mattress) will be up to you.

So you've actually booked the ticket and are really coming! smiley - wow

If the arrival time on your ticket says 4pm then that will be our time. I'm going to try and switch my Wednesday afternoon classes to Monday (should be no problem) so I can go out to meet you at the airport and have the rest of the day free.

Be forewarned that I will have an early morning class (9am) the day after you arrive, so you and Noggin will get booted out of the flat to go and have a coffee across the street. This is because I'll be teaching that class in the living room (usually I'd be using the room you'll be occupying) and don't want people hanging around when I'm working.

I'm also going to buy a little cd/radio/cassette thingy for your room, so if you want to bring any music with you, feel free. I need a new one for that room anyhow (for teaching - listening exercises) so you will be able to have music in your room if you like.

Just remember - no FAT jokes when you see me at the airport! Otherwise I'll have to beat you up. smiley - winkeye

Noggin and I are really looking forward to having you here. It will be fun - promise!

Send me the flight details by email, okay?

kisses,
SIS

Latest update. I was able to shift my Wednesday evening classes to Monday but decided to do the afternoon one at the hospital while Noggin goes out to meet you at the airport (since only one of us needs to go). Then I should get home shortly after you two get back and I'll have the rest of the day free. smiley - smiley

In case you haven't seen Noggin's updated photo in the gallery (so you recognise him at the airport). . .

Though I'm sure there won't be too many 6'4" guys with dreads getting off the plane, so he'll probably recognise you easily enough. smiley - smiley

I saw the first buds of orange blossom today, so they should be 'right on time' for your arrival. smiley - smiley

As for a prezzie for Noggin, well, after being reminded of the Graceland album on your other thread we went out to buy it today and they didn't have it in stock. So maybe if you can find that for not too much dinero (Amazon is selling it for about 11 pounds) he would probably enjoy that.

So, have you been practicing your Spanish?

Do you drink coffee? Just wondering if I'll need to get out the *extra big* French press coffee making thingy.

Also, you don't smoke, right?

In which case, can you please not allow me to smoke while you're here? I don't actually need to smoke but I tend to get lazy and do it anyhow. But if you remind me not to then I probably won't.

Any food you can't (or won't) eat?

Oh, all in a tizzy - but it's great as we're getting lots of cleaning done. smiley - smiley
