"phishing" refers to a deceptive email sent by scammers who pretend to represent a reputable site, and ask you to give them sensitive information so they can steal your money and/or your identity.

Chavs are also known as pikeys - both chav and pikey mean gypsy originally.
Chav or something near it is Romany for young man.
Pikey comes from turnpikes, ie life on the road. It's London for any chav who lives in the countryside.
Why arrogant? Me or Wordsworth? I don't understand 'arrogant' in this context. (Post 30)

Or 'if you can remember the 60's....'
That's something you may not have heard of. It's called a Joke.

Joke - as in Post 37, when Vi didn't really think that phishing had anything to do with a bath.
Sorry to have interrupted the thread folks, but I don't much like being called silly and arrogant.

You are neither silly nor arrogant, Jab.
The person who originated the saying was the one I was getting at.
Of course it was humor. It's just that we all experienced the sixties in our own individual ways. There wasn't one *right* way to experience them. We didn't all take various substances to forget what was going on.
When I was in college, I had a roommate who smoked pot. I wished he wouldn't, but I wasn't about to start an argument over it. I would have hated to have seen him get in trouble over it (another student actually did get arrested for it, poor soul).
Did I ever mention that I was a worrier?

A mate of mine is trying to repopularize the word - "Dimbox". Apparantly an acient word that means exactly what it sounds like.

Ah the wonderful '60s. Yet childcare books now, tell us that we were too permisive with our kids. As a latecomer to the parenting business, I'm apparently still far too permisive as a parent. It's just that our lot think it's only fair to treat others as equals. We'll have to see what the next lot turn out, if they're awful, we can go - nah nah ne nah nah!

Dimbox is great - (as - and unfortunately I'm saying this a bit late) were Taffy's Twokkers - that's genuine, I've heard of that one, but only quite recently

Taff - off subject again, sorry, - to show what a really good man Obama might be, he recently said (as you might know) "of course I inhaled, what was the point otherwise?" - and nobody made a big deal or anything, such is his charisma. Honesty too.
