I put brain haemorrhage on a works sick note once and the personnel office sent it back to the gate office with we've put flu instead, you haven't got a brain

it had its drawbacks(sorry about the pun)in my youth days and also work career as such, but now for humour

I was brought up with the "there are worse off than you" and through lifeI've nothing to moan about

dear prof, i was *this* close to answering paul's posting 273 with words like 'don't worry, the prof will forgive you' (and you didn't let me down) but it was your prerogative

having a couple of conditions as well i know how you feel. it is easier to make fun of them than other people normally understand

however, it's only your right to make fun first, don't you think? strangers walking up to you shouting 'can yer here me, quasi?' is just not right, is it? it is your right to take the first step

i notice that black people gladly use the 'n-word' but are extremely offended if whites like us do - and with good reason too, even if it doesn't seem quite fair

I have put downs to make an insulter so small and insignificant if I wishbut I just twist their insult back with humourmost of the time

One of my co-workers had a very painful hunchback, as the result of some sort of injury. He finally had to have a major back operation, followed by two months of rehab When he came back to work, he was about a foot taller than he had been.
