Hello jollywinegums, coincidence you should mention Bob Marley! I'm just listening to a very tasteful instrumental rendering of No Woman No by an American contemporary Jazz group, the Charlie Hunter Quartet.

Hiya, all.
Marley was on the radio this morning, they did the weekly flashback thing. They played Jimmy Cliff, too.
K's just gone to pick up the car from the shop. the front brakes had been squeaking and rattling, so I demanded he take it in. He really wouldn't be able to get to work too well without it, and I've been concerned about a brake failure.
$1,300 later... new front brake pads and rotors, new front brake calipers, new rear brake shoes, new strut springs and mounts. K made them call me with the estimate, as I worked in automotive while putting myself through school, and I have a reasonable idea of what's what and how much it ought to cost. Goodness, I'd no idea K let his car go without routine maintenance to this extent. We only just paid it off a year and a half ago- it might be nice not to run it into the ground just yet.
Otherwise, we've been having a nice, quiet Saturday, enjoying a DVD and cold leftover pizza, while hiding from the warm, humid weather.

Hi PC! Twenty point one C here(or 68.18 F), which is just nice for me! Got the fan on anyway, as my windows face east so the place tends to hold the heat. Was just about to sit down to rice & veggies in a spicier butter chicken sauce an actual Indian spice mix.

The bill didn't scare me much- it's a little more than I had anticipated, but it won't create any hardship. We've been saving for a while now on account of home shopping.
What scares me most is thinking of him driving to and from work all this time with the brakes in that condition. The rattling we'd been hearing was bits of rusted rotor falling off.
I've had Dom only once, and you know what, I didn't notice a huge difference between the $300 bottle of Dom an acquaintance had brought to the party and the $40 bottle of Perrier Jouet I had brought. I'm not a *huge* champagne fan, but I'll take a taste in Terri's honor.
I still want some of those damned winegums. And maybe some of those licorice-flavored things Prof has access to. But I shouldn't be eating sweets while I am On A Diet.
