Not to worry RK, We have the council housing officer trying to help us just now to get into sheltered accom. This is really good of her, as we are "owner occupiers" and she is not bound to assist us
Its only coz we are both disabled that she is helping us, and we are both extremely glad she is

Smudger and Roadkill I have been feeling very rundown recently, I keep on sleeping alot during the day, its stress related.

Yes RK, She is the one that I shouted at over the phone! then calmed right down when she found out that MK2 was terminally ill. She has been trying to help ever since, as she told us there was nothing she could do about the noise from upstairs?
I must admit we both appreciate all her help!

I'm glad things are moving along for you, then. Though it's annoying that they're only bothering to do something because your wife is ill though.

Yes! RK and I were talking about this council woman who is trying to help us get out of our present night mare!!!!!
We have grown to accept what is happening to MK2 we can at times even laugh about it, but to be honest, a move away from here would be wonderfull. Our lives have just been Hell for the past 4 yrs, with noisy neighbours, and threats made to us for complaining!!

No idea I'm afraid. Usually if I'm doubleposting a lot I just wait for the bar to about half fill- up, then click stop, go to my space, and check the thread again to see if my post has appeared. It's not surefire though.

Update at this end:



We got up at crack of dawn, extracted large quantities of cash (which we can ill afford) & went off to meet the landlady. Waited. And waited.And waited. And phoned her. And waited.

And eventually gave up & trundled off damply (yes, it just HAD to be raining too didn't it?) & came back to the little place we call home right now. I was exhausted; standing around for all that time followed by lots of trudging up & down hills in the wet is NOT the best of activities for my not-very-clever legs. Snoozed & was woken by the phone.

Yup, you guessed it, she had let it to someone else & not bothered to tell us.

Why are people so bloody rude? When we saw it on Friday, she was all over us, "Ooh yes, rendezvous Monday, yes, it's yours my darlings"...

--If we'd known it wasn't, we could have followed up on other ones, as it is, they're all gone too, now we have to wait till next Thursday for the papers to come out again. Time is running out, the lease on this finishes on Oct.1st. (At this stage I sense a few smileys coming on!)

*sigh*

Trying to be & persuade myself that it just wasn't meant to be, it was more expensive then we could manage easily, something will turn up etc...

Nonetheless, I am p***ed off I must confess.

AND it's my birthday too.

*crawls away to find small hole which hasn't been let to someone else*smiley.

Oh well, c'est la vie & all that.
