These days, I work with little radio thingies. But there were seasons when 10,000 - 50,000 volts was the norm.

In the late 50's, the "Bad Guys" were trying to jam radio and radar signals. So in great wisdom, designers fell back on the pricniple of 'Might is Right'. And built some big bad-ass systems that could really hump out the power. They was BIIIIIG !!! Some, I had to climb inside, while they were alive, to make adjustments.

Ever play with a Vandergraph machine as a kid, shiny ball that made your hair stand on end when you touched it? Imagine every hair on your person loaded with electrical charge ... Whooo-hooo !!!!

That's scary.. I mean, very scary

You DO learn a certain respect for nature and physics, I can tell ya that. I have taken a few good enough jolts, that were felt literally right to the 'family jewels'. In fact, that was the first consideration when natural conception wasn't happening for us. Of course, it later proved to be major internal disturbances with milady. As I told you what seems like ages ago ...

BTW, I am following your journal, but really have nothing to add beyond the one post I slipped in simultaneously with your friend Ictoan.

I've read them all. Quite interesting reading. All of it. It's nice to be able to talk freely about being classed as a "Racist" even though I'm not.

It could be white people doing this and I would fear them as I fear Asians right now...

It IS one of the best things about hootoo, ... people can speak their mind plainly and honestly. Within reason, of course. And it's the only place you're likely to see so many opinions from so many corners of the UK and the rest of the world at once.

I may be a bit arrogant, but I've always prided myself on not being biased against any trait of a number of people. I may despise certain individuals, but most often I get on quite fine with their brothers, sisters and what-ever. In my opinion, skin pigment and culture are simply an accident of where you were born. Not something a person voluntarily choses. So in this way, I know that I am no better, nor any worse, than anyone. You may also have noticed another trait of mine, ... everyone has my respect from the very first meeting. Until or unless they give me cause to feel otherwise.
