! I thought the MC and QQ boards looked quite deserted today! I put my 'bit' in on the tragic tale of Andreas the Parrot - but all was pulled - alas! What is their Problem - these are amusing interludes - even for serious parrot lovers!

Apologies for butting in.
Not often I have the chance to get on the PC as this time of night, owing to bratling problems.
I loved the Parrot thread today, but all that hard work and good fun removed within an hour.... shameful!
Really ought to go and eat something I suppose.....

huuumph! WHAT silliness on QQ do you mean? - if it was the Helena B-C - I DESPAIR - and it explains why Michael Hill's posts were allowed and Andrew's and mine (which were COMPLETELY rational,reasonable and, indeed, KIND) were pulled....
If they're not careful the boards will die a slow death...well - what I mean is they will be populated by people with no humour whatsoever.

Hello Peter.
The Mods seem to be having a general clampdown. They're obviously on to us, but Alex Lazenby (sp?) popped over to the Dating board and posted something there (as a poster, not as a host/mod).
Months and months ago there were about four of us on the 5 Live Boards (Kris, Alistair W, Mel Simpson (known as Try Again) and me) and people repeatedly called us "puerile", "the clique" etc etc. We were about the only regular posters at that time, and inevitably, threads would meander off in all sorts of hilarious ways.
Oh well. Really must get something to eat before I faint!

It is such a shame - us MC-ers havn't had so much fun since the marathon Mordor Crescent thread - which was never sanctioned in any way, and the MCP Club thread - which was pulled all over the show for no good reason at all that we could see!
It does appear that MC-H! Mods are more humane than the others - but there isn't the same frisson when you know you are tolerated!

Don't want to interrupt but it seems to me that the Mods have become more "vigilant" since the decline and fall of the QQ server. Are they, perhaps, as a group, becoming somewhat petulant as a consequence od the criticisms levelled there?
