While Kris is still thinking (You are still thinking, aren't you, my dear?) I'll just have a side-chat with Peekay.
I've been to have a look (indeed contribute to) your thread on Food. Too subtle, my boy, too subtle - but a lovely idea. If I have any more ideas, I shall return.
Keep up the good work - and thanks for the !
BTW John Humphreys and James Naughtie are the main presenters of the "Today" programme on Radio 4. So young, some much to learn!!

Did you post, Peter ? You must have been Modded.
Too subtle is right, I'm afraid. Still, gives me cover as a pompous old git, should another raid be required.

Evenin All !!
Old, decrepit wise person or young little innocent person.......
I'm gonna go for young innocent little person, as you can do more with them.
BTW, anyone see the documentary on Robbie Williams last night ? Very interesting indeed
Lychees OR blue cheese ???
This or That ?
Scarlet Woman Posted Nov 11, 2002
No, No6, I did not see the Robbie W Program - was too busy wasting time here!
Was he good - I can't help but warm to the boy - he's so wonderfully out of control - as all the best people are......
Lychees - for definite! I love fresh ones - but tinned keep most of the flavour well. And anyway I'm allergic to Penicillen so cannot do the other one.

Scarlet Woman Posted Nov 11, 2002
oops! I forgot to posit another poser....

Number Six Posted Nov 11, 2002
Trust Tricky Micky to throw in a trick question !
Was Max Wall the bloke in the tights ? Didn't like him at all, too much like the Childcatcher.
Has to be Jimmy Krankie then
Off to check out the new Partridge series here. One before I go.
Baby seals OR baby artichokes ???

kri stickle mass Posted Nov 12, 2002

kris

Number Six Posted Nov 12, 2002
HI Kris
Don't worry about the name. Things can get v confusing in here sometimes. Why, just the other day I went to get the milk, locked myself out, and found myself wandering about in here in just my jammies
I've had a pretty dull day, but thanks for asking. The hounds will let be let loose at some stage, but first comes the important task of watching the 'pool put 5 past Basle. We shall all be wearing our scarves, and the beer bowls have been set out affront the telly.
Mauritius or Mt Everest ? As I have a massive fear of heights, I shall have to say Mauritius. Nothing like the feel of natives between your toes, I say
Captain Willard OR Colonel Kurtz ???
This or That ?
akira100 Posted Nov 12, 2002
Evening all.
As I sit here watching Star Trek (the one where Data creates a daughter - one of the best) and still feeling sorry for myself, I finally feel like communicating with the outside world.
So.....Willard or Kurtz? That's obvious....Willard, of course. He went on to become President Bartlett!
Perculator or caffetierre?
Peter
This or That ?
Scarlet Woman Posted Nov 12, 2002
Peter - welcome back! - I would have gone for Kurtz myself - a very fave character!
Cafetierre - well that's what we use most often....
Devil's Tunes or Angelus Bells
This or That ?
Number Six Posted Nov 12, 2002
Evenin CG, Peter
= drowns sorrows after 'pool defeat
I would have gone for Kurtz too. Much more fun to have at a party.
Am with CG on the percolater question too. To my mind, anything that makes that kind of gurgling noise means no good to anyone
The devil has the best tunes
The Dalai Lama OR Tim Henman ???
This or That ?
akira100 Posted Nov 13, 2002
The Dalai Lama has a crap serve volley game but then Timbo would look silly as a baldy monk . So, on balance, it has to be the Dalai Lama, because he has a better all round game.
The New York Times or the Washington Post??
