Ahem........leave you guys alone for even a couple of days and I'm up to my eyeballs in velcro and sheep poo when I get back.
It was an okay weekend. Brother lives in Ankeny, Iowa which is between Des Moines and Ames. Not a bad location, actually. Brother works in Des Moines and can be there in 20 minutes. Ames is just 20 minutes in the other direction, so they can attend the University events if they want to.
Ankeny is a fairly new city. It grew up around a military depot between the two world wars. It is the third largest of the Des Moines suburbs. Brother has a new house a growing subdivision. Sister-in-Law has turned it into a spread for Better Homes and Gardens. It's a beautiful house, but not homey and comfortable. I was glad to get home to my little messy house.
361 miles from my house to brother's. The trip did a job on my sore knee. I'm resting it today.
