Sweet dreams are made of this
who am I to disagree.
There are times when I reminisce
of when I first learned how to ski.
I travel the world and the seven seas.
Everybody's looking for something.
So let us please the honey bees
by providing them with flowers in Spring.
Some of them want to have a laugh.
Some of them want to take a hike.
Some of them want to walk with a staff.
Some of them want to ride a motor bike.
Hold your head up, keep your head up,
keep moving on while doing the Ron, Ron.
Sup with a Labrador retriever pup
while sharing a loving cup with Shawn.

I will always remember you.
You are the one
that says adieu to Sue
who is a nun that studies the sun.
You make my dreams come true
a few kisses ago when on the go.
Watch the sun rise and the first dew
in the field with our hands on the plough.
You are the only one who said
"I love you, too", yes I do.
when sitting inside the garden shed
having fondue and a barbecue.

In a little while from now
I am not feeling any less sour.
I will be riding in a landau
after a long rain shower.
I promise to treat myself
and visit a nearby tower.
It is situated in they city of Guelph
which has a pub where they have happy hour.
There is also a pastry and doughnut shop
where they have my favourite treats.
I go into the pub to have a whisky soda pop
and go and drink it outside on the garden seat.

Rosetta are you better
are you well, well, well?
Do you love the red setter
called Bet who's got out of her shell?
Well, my little cat lives in a flat
and she does strange things.
She likes to eat fresh sprats
after playing with strings.
She can make your eyebrows curl
by having a mad hour when its windy.
Rosetta chatters at the merle
which fills her with glee.

Is Rosetta your cat?
I'm glad you get along
With the setter. That's that.
Could you use a nice song?

Rosetta is not my cat
as my cat is called Simba.
He is a bit of an acrobat
who's flexible and can limber.
Simba does not get upset
when ever he sees a dog.
Does not like seeing the vet
but is always agog when having a jog.

Beneath this snowy mantle cold and clean
The unborn grass lies waiting.
I have not seen so much since I was fifteen
which was so beautiful and fascinating.
The unborn grass waits for its coat to turn to green
when the snowbird sings the song he always sings.
It is happy time at the boarding school's canteen
with Christmas tiny bells that merrily rings.
The snowbird speaks of hope and a new tomorrow
where all our troubles will gradually end.
It will be the end to our anxiety and to our sorrow
just enjoy the rare sight of snow and frost my friend.

My heart's yearning to be
where the clouds meet the sea.
There is where I will be free
with me and thee sailing towards Leigh.
There goes the flowing tide
it goes gently sailing by.
The compass and stars are my guide
as I listen to the sea gulls cry.
The breeze lifts the herring gull high
stars that steer our course to new horizons far away.
There I look to the dark sky and sigh
and wonder how I long it will take to reach the quay.
Dawn is breaking, a new day making us
thankful for the freedom it brings.
Away from all the worry and fuss
as I hear the sailing ship's bells ring.

In the Irish and British winter time
when all the leaves have turned brown.
When there is widespread frost and rime
that covers the whole of town.
It will be the start of a wonderful time of year
that will bring very cold weather.
It will be a time full of cheer
to get together for a good old blether.
The winds blow the leaves away
while the snow gently falls.
Time to get out your sledge or sleigh
and to wrap up in thermals and a woollen shawl.
There will be a very wintery and snowy Yule
while the fir and oak logs are brought in.
The ice and frost will twinkle like a jewel
covering roofs, trees, shrubs that makes everyone grin.

All around my hat I will wear the green willow
And all around my hat for a twelve month and a day.
I will wear my bandeau when playing the banjo
and sing about Merlin and Morgan Le Fey.
Fare thee well cold winter and fare thee well cold frost.
The joy that you bring to all through the winter tide.
Fading happy childhood memories have been lost
of playing on the swing, roundabout and the banana slide.

Where has Mona gone?
Has anyone seen Mary?
Are they with Don and Ron?
Did they take the ferry to Kerry?
Have they put their mittens on?
There's 20 feet of pure white snow!
It has covered the garden patio and the lawn
as well as all the trees and the meadows.

Twenty feet of snow
Would make it hard to go
Anywhere at all.
Could we have less of a snowfall?

"While I Shovel the Snow"
Well they say,“Can’t please everyone”
But I’m stuck on a winning streak.
I have got everything that’s needed to be done
and I’m even going to cosplay as Mystique.
Well today, there’s been clarity
And tonight, I can see tomorrow.
Which recently has been a rarity
as my creative juices are beginning to flow.
All at once, the winter’s here
All the lochs of Scotland are frozen over.
So, let’s bring in some seasonal cheer
And hopefully I won’t be getting a party hangover.
As I look quickly look around
as I see a shape beside the pavement.
I see a friendly Afghan hound not making a sound
who’s walking towards the entrance of the convent.
I’ve been the passively watching the world go by.
I have been searching for a better quality of life.
As I look towards the sky and wonder why
will I ever be returning back to Creich in Fife.
