It's always entertaining with Dan... He's one of the few people I like watching TV with.
He's actually one of the few people I /like/... maybe that has something to do with it.

Probably. Mind you, I like Jenny, but I can't stand watching tv, or a film, or anything with her, lol

No, not at all. The problem is that she doesn't understand the ending. Or the middle. Or even the beginning. And she asks you to explain it. Which means she, and you, miss the next bit which actually explains the bit she didn't get quite well. So then she starts asking about that bit, and... well. It snowballs.
It's even worse when she stands in the kitchen, washing up, and does it from there, long- distance.
And if it's slightly scary, or even not at all scary as some occasions have been- just the possibility that it might be scary at some point in time, but then again it might not- she leaps at the nearest person and bruises them by attempting to hide behind/ in them, such as one might do with a sofa when confronted by a TV with a Dalek on it.

Gah.... That's one of the most annoying things. It seems ratehr to defeat the object, after a while...
Ah, but that one is just funny. In fact, if you're being particularly evil, you can use it for your own amusement by making up something horrible going on..

Offputting, to say the least.
It's horrible! She leapt across the room and dug her nails into my arm once for no reason! When I chastised her, she said she thought something /might/ be about to happen because the music was quite tense. She was preemptively wussy!

Ah, that's a very Simpsons thing... "He must be evil, can't you hear the music?!"... Actually, if there's one thing that's likely to throw me into fits of laughter at an inappropriate time in a film, it's usually the music.
Preemptive whossiness...

As you know, I visited Jenny (and teh rest) at the weekend. When I got there, everyone was watching and trying to listen to The Rock, except for Jenny, who was kneeling on the floor hitting a picture frame with a screwdriver. And if you can imagine that, double the volume (because she always does things like that exceedingly loudly, for someone so otherwise dainty), and apply to it the regularity of those hiccups you get where you think they've stopped... you wait.... and th-*hic*-en... And that's what she was doing. She always does something like that when other people are watching TV. The most annoying one is when she's on the phone, and she comes and sits next to you...
Lol, it was nice to see her, though. One of the few people who at least pretends to be pleased to see me, and the annoying bits are just funny when you're not subjected to it every day.

IT's pretty, but the walking tour gets dull rather fast. I'd rather had taken a run about the place at my own leisure. There's something about audioguides I just can't stand...
Some people do aquire this innate ability to be annoying. IT's somewhat of a talent.

They tend to tell you everything except what you want to know...
Also, they only ever tell you what's on the laminated-card-on-a-stand anyway, and I end up reading it before the audioguide has finished it.
But Jenny has a certain lovability about her too. She annoys the hell out of me, but I'd never say that with any animosity.

Ah, that's definitely one of the things.. I tend to have read the laminated stuff before the audioguide's finished. And the fast forward buttons don't seem to work logically at all, so you end up being completely lost as to where you are and giving up completely. When we went up to the War Cabinets [at the gov/pol conference thing a while back] the audioguide was terrible. We walked round the place in 5 minutes, didn't see anything interesting and /really/ couldn't be bothered to listen to reinacted clips of people clambouring about thier bunks and saying stuff.
It's an endearing annoyingness...

I've only ever tried the audio guide stuff twice- once at stonehenge, because it was free, and the other time at the bayeux tapestry because it was already paid for...

I did the one at Alcatraz and the one at the War Cabinet,I don't think I've done any others. That was quite enough I think I can say the same about them both

Hey, if it's free... It's also a gadget of sorts, so it's good just to add to the geexperience base.

Free, but damned annoying... A real tour guide would be far more useful. And I don't often chose real, live people over machines
Oh, I guess you've got to get the experience of it..
Have you ever been experienced...
Hello
TeaKay Posted Feb 10, 2005
lol. I'm not a fan of real, live people either. But then I'm not a fan of machines- they all seem to have it in for me as well.
Only rarely.
