The computers were ok, except for one file it won't open... which would be the file I needed to set up the sale for November.
Hi Batty, how was your day?

I was entering sale items onto a worksheet. Silly me, I thought surely since the sun was out and not a cloud in the sky, it might be safe to do that. The registers have a battery backup, it's the back office computer that won't get into that file.
We did call the tech who might be able to fix it remotely or drop by the store in the morning. This is a new POS program to us. I knew how to fix the old program when this happened.

I know a very select few POS programs.. you should get a backup for your computers as well.. in the event of a spike it will protect them and in the event of a total shut down it gives you a few minutes to save and close down safely..

This is Catapult POS, if that helps. The previous was Simple Retailer (what a misnomer).

I suppose it's still too early for the tech's favourite tool, the Big F___ ... "friendly" ... Hammer.

There's always a few spare on hand, for when the need arises then.
BTW, quite a catchy anagram and a fine idea, all at the same time.

Thank you. I think this makes the third year for this anagram. Other choices included: Ale Even Gin, Avenge Line, Leaning Eve and Vale Engine.

If the computer file continues to thwart you, put it on a boat, sail it into the Gulf of Mexico, and dump it. You can write it off as a Point of Sail.

Dont ask me about PCs. I have not patience with the things. Ask Cal. He knows all about my temper with frozen PCs and Greek printers and tempramental scanners. Among other things.
Key: Complain about this post
