Bare faced cheek!

Fairly literally to. smiley - winkeye

There’s a highly fashion conscious ‘surfer dude’ type chap with extremely baggy jeans on strutting around in the library. What he doesn’t realise is that his boxers seem to be succumbing to the effects of gravity in much the same way as his trousers and he’s now the cause of rather a lot of hilarity, and a couple of very interested girls. Bare effrontery!

Now to tell him of the sensation he's causing. smiley - evilgrin

That was the weekend that was....

The London meet! smiley - biggrin And a hectic weekend it was to.

It all started horribly early back at home in Wales as I dashed round the house trying to pack, find enough food for my guinea pigs (not an easy task), and eat breakfast whilst Master B calmly sauntered round muttering things about organisation and time keeping. Anyway we made it to the station with plenty of time to spare and then had a very uneventful trip up to London.

On arrival in the 'Big Smoke' the fun and games started. I'd never been on the underground before and proceeded to carry off a wonderful impersonation of lost country bumpkin all the way round (or up/down/across – I really have no idea where we went) to Holburn.

B then headed for the pub whilst I decided to go to the Science Museum. Armed with detailed route descriptions I headed off underground again, eventually arrived somewhere, and then proceeded to follow a crowd of children and their keepers to the Museum. By this time the rest of the meet had dispersed to look round, but I eventually ran into Creachy who kept me company for the afternoon and who also made sure I made it back to Holburn on the tube in one piece.

Food was needed by this stage of the day, and Egon did a very good job in helping me to finish it. smiley - laugh The meet then proceeded and things become a little blurred. I caught up with people who I've met before, and those that I hadn't; I can remember the faces, but I can’t put names to all of them. Hopefully I managed to hide from most of the cameras that were present, something I'm usually very good at. smiley - winkeye

All in all a good time was had by smiley - erm all. smiley - cross Don't look at me like that – it's Monday and I'm smiley - sleepy. smiley - tongueout After the quiz had been contested, and glitter had been showered all over the floor; last orders were called and 'twas time to head off and collapse after a hectic day. All great fun, and rather an apt way to mark a year to the day exactly since I'd first met one Master B in the flesh.

smiley - wow I can't wait for the summer trip now.

I’m off to play with hose pipes!!

smiley - wow Great excitement here this afternoon, I've been told I'm off to train as a Fire Warden. Apparently along with the usual 'how to evacuate a building' stuff we're actually being given a real live fire to put out over on the farm. smiley - biggrin

Though with my track record for minor disasters, and being highly accident prone (I managed to slice a nice chunk out of my finger last night), I'm beginning to wonder if they’ve selected the right person for this one. smiley - winkeye

I hate being towed!!!

smiley - grr Cars!!!! smiley - grr

I've decided that they're nothing but trouble!

I set off back to the parents today for a visit and Sunday lunch. smiley - drool I've actually left in plenty of time, the roads are clear and all is going well.

That is until I get onto the M4!!!!! There I am happily chugging along when all of a sudden there’s a 'twang' and I loose all power and acceleration. It happens in the worst possible place, just were there are loads of junctions and no hard shoulder.

Anyway I eventually role to a stop. The AA chap is very sympathetic and tells me that the drive belt has snapped, (fingers crossed it hasn't taken half the engine with it).

So much for lunch!!!

With all the trouble my cars have caused in the last few months I think I should just give up and get myself a bike.
