The London meet! And a hectic weekend it was to.
It all started horribly early back at home in Wales as I dashed round the house trying to pack, find enough food for my guinea pigs (not an easy task), and eat breakfast whilst Master B calmly sauntered round muttering things about organisation and time keeping. Anyway we made it to the station with plenty of time to spare and then had a very uneventful trip up to London.
On arrival in the 'Big Smoke' the fun and games started. I'd never been on the underground before and proceeded to carry off a wonderful impersonation of lost country bumpkin all the way round (or up/down/across – I really have no idea where we went) to Holburn.
B then headed for the pub whilst I decided to go to the Science Museum. Armed with detailed route descriptions I headed off underground again, eventually arrived somewhere, and then proceeded to follow a crowd of children and their keepers to the Museum. By this time the rest of the meet had dispersed to look round, but I eventually ran into Creachy who kept me company for the afternoon and who also made sure I made it back to Holburn on the tube in one piece.
Food was needed by this stage of the day, and Egon did a very good job in helping me to finish it. The meet then proceeded and things become a little blurred. I caught up with people who I've met before, and those that I hadn't; I can remember the faces, but I can’t put names to all of them. Hopefully I managed to hide from most of the cameras that were present, something I'm usually very good at.
All in all a good time was had by all. Don't look at me like that – it's Monday and I'm . After the quiz had been contested, and glitter had been showered all over the floor; last orders were called and 'twas time to head off and collapse after a hectic day. All great fun, and rather an apt way to mark a year to the day exactly since I'd first met one Master B in the flesh.
I can't wait for the summer trip now.

Hi
I was very glad to find him, he didn’t answer his text for about half an hour and I was beginning to wonder if everyone had off to the pub. Playing ‘spot the hootooer’ can be a little embarrassing I certainly managed to surprise one poor unsuspecting member of the public who I thought I’d recognised from an old meet picture.
I was very cautious when I approached what turned out to be the real Creachy.

to daSilva.
I didn't have a discription of Creachy until he'd actually replied to the text. The person I approached had that an expectant/lost look and I thought he might be a hootooer waiting for someone.

You could have had him announced: Will Creachy please come to the lost children area, where Odo is waiting for him?

It could be worse.

I didn't think of that - I should have put a distress call out across the whole museum.
"There is an abandoned hootooer lurking around the thread mill....."

We tried that at the first meet I attended, in Reading. GreyDesk and Bluebottle didn't know what each other looked like, and the station staff refused to say the names over the tannoy! Thankfully they decided that 'My Greydesk' was acceptable and all was well.

Ooooh - I can see it now...
"Will VIP and VV please make their way to the information desk where B and Odo will be waiting for them"
Now that WOULD be confusing!
