Keep up the good work then!
CBT really works, I can vouch for that as it has completely changed the way I think about food now!
I hope you feel better soon.

I think seeing how well it's worked for you is one of the things that gives me hope in it
I've read the first couple of chapters. And from a few minutes ago ,it's a chapeter and new tecniques a day for a maximum of 10 days after which I must stop altogether and should have no desire to smoke left anyway! Seems I'll have to go on smoking more than I have been the last couple of days for it to work properly though ! He insists that for the first part you smoke when you feel like it..and one of the first techniques(wich i sarted before i went to bed) depends on you smoking at the time to work! its called NURD and says it works best when the desire is still relatively weak (early in the craving in other words and actually recommends 'against trying to fight it off as this causes conflict between 'concious 'and 'feeling' or something).you should every fag you smoke, stop what youre doinf completely n cncentrate on the feelig of smoking, and as you do..this fag is giving me NO satisfaction, with the first puff, this is an UPLEASENT experience with the second..through this is making feeel rotton and I am losing all DESIRE to smoke.Apparantly this works in most cases to reduce smoking by 25-50 % in the first 24 hr period! I still refuse to go back to chain smoking though..id like to stay at 10-15 tops till it starts to reduce as i dont want it which should be pretty quick!

The book sounds good Now you have to follow it!
10-15 a day is still quite alot really, its probably 1 per hour you are awake.... When I am at work I have 1 in the car en route, 1 at 10am, 1 at 2pm and one on the way home. Then probably 2 in the evening.. Perhaps you should keep an eye on the times you are most vunerable, i.e when you are bored in the afternoon and see if you can change your routine to help you get over some of the cravings..
How are you feeling this morning?

something else i have to do is keep a record card of what times i smoked ..and step 2 (tomorrow) starts an extra techique of thinking about and dispelling the triggers too
Still all bunged up n coldy sound like lilly savage I do!
How're you?

I'm ok, just a feeling a little low at the moment (as per journal). I'll be ok soon enough though!
Unfortunately you might be plagued by colds and things for a while, your throat is normally coated with stuff and when you stop smoking it clears itself leaving you open to more infections than you used to have. The body adjusts pretty quickly but don't be surprised if you are a little snivelly for a while.
Now are you going to be up tonight so I can show you some photo's? Or are you going to bed early again!?
I suppose I could always pop over another day, its just I'm pretty busy at the moment...

QUICK! Do something...sew buttons on stuff, whether they need them or not, clean the windows (can't have a cig with wet hands), unravel the christmas tree lights....

Have you got a sewing kit? You could have a go at repairing josh's trousers.
Or you could go through all your clothes, deciding what can be kept or thrown away or taken to the charity shop
