R.G.W - And at no point during this outing did I run the risk of being cool... [temporarily or possibly permanently missing]

Actually, Lucy is my best friend. In her defence she's not like that all the time. When you did talk to her she was somewhat hasty in making that remark, she wasn't seriously saying that as an ice breaker, she is capable of more stimulating conversation.
She's not a scary Catholic, I've met scarier Catholic's. She's a wonderful girl and her family are lovely, I practically live at her house and nobody has yet tried to throw me out or anything... yet.
smiley - biggrin
I wouldn't say she was dogmatic. True, she has very strong opinions about abortion, and yes she doesn't agree with other people's view points, but if someone said to me "George Bush is great, he's done the country a lot of good and I believe he should have another term in the white house" I wouldn't accept that, I'd go on a long rant and would probably call that person an ignoramus, but that doesn't make me dogmatic does it?
I know she can be slightly set in her beliefs but she isn't such a religious nut as you're making her out to be. She accepts that other people have different beliefs and although she doesn't agree with them, she is capable of accepting the fact. Calling her dogmatic is somewhat harsh.

Ah dear, that looked a lot to me like a rant.

I didn't mean any of that in a bad way, y'know.... she did seem a nice gal, and I admire anyone with conviction smiley - smiley

Yeah I know you didn't mean it. smiley - hug

She's noticed you added her, and is unsure as to what to do next. I suggest you say something before she starts to think you're... god forbid... weird smiley - rofl

It's not really a good thing, she tends to get irate at people for stupid reasons. Funny thing is, I don't think I've asked her if she likes you, I mean, she must to want to talk to you?
*mild confusion*

I'm not in the best of moods with her. She thinks someone's hacked into her account *sigh* I've tried it and it's fine, so I can give her a good kick when I see her. She also chose not to reply to my e-mail because it was poking fun at her attention seeking best friend. I thought it was quite funny... I wrote her a story, where I have a Hayfever attack, running away from a bat and seek refuge in a giant cup (I was using MSN emoticons so my characters are slightly limited) where I'm then drunk by a giant, and Lucy comes to save me but the her attention seeking friend distracts her and I die.

"Natalie dribbled, then was eventually drunk by the giant, but the good news is that Lucy and Louise had a great time discussing the meaning of life and how the meaning of life affected Louise.
"Well, my thinking is that it doesn't really affect me at all, but that won't stop me being depressed about it anyway""

The exam wasn't as bad as anticipated was it? I actually knew some answers. Although for a short while I had the mistaken belief that Lithium is more reactive than Sodium and Potassium smiley - erm Which could have been a bit disasterous if I hadn't noticed my error and done the necessary corrections.

I know, she wouldn't have let me add her if she thought I was, say, the Bugblatter Beast of Traal, now, would she? smiley - headhurts

It'll blow over.... Heck the story sounds funny to me smiley - winkeyesmiley - laugh

I'm beginning to think that maybe we are on different boards. I remember nothing about sodium, and they always give us a helpful chart at the back with the reactivity series on it... smiley - erm

I'm looking forward to next year too, a badly needed fresh start... sure I'll be going to a Catholic Girls School part time, I won't see my friends, everyone I like is either taking different classes or leaving the school... but apart from that. Should be... fun.

It'll be better than you think. I have to say, compared to year eleven year twelve has been fantastico! (though it wouldn't be difficult) I'm feeling restless though, I want to skip to the summertime
