Bassman - Funny how people never ceases to amaze me! Posted Jan 28, 2002
I thought there was going to be a hidden message or something, I can't believe I wasted so much time on this goo splitting
Hi Sergeant 'shroom - nice chatting, if only briefly yesterday.
Hi Tube - Ditto.

Judge Ye Not Tube you little
I have started many projects on h2g2 which you would now deem as part of h2g2.
The Fun Run; I produced was the basis of the peer review which was originated by Zach Garland (Zachsmind) and myself and many of the original Researchers.
The h2g2Post Just coming up to its 100th edition. Now run by Shazz and Pastey. see next weeks edition:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/thepost
I had a lot to do with the Aces and have used many of my ideas.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A570421 is still used as a guide for Aces.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/newusers - Mark made this page up based on knowledge of the welcome Mat which I and later Tal produced.
I help start many other things in the past.
This new venture will also have an affect - wait and see.
There are some interesting historical h2g2 facts for you but thats enough of me blowing my own trumpet.
Remember
Those who cannot see are guided by the one eyed man.
The next best thing is to put down what you dont see but will that make you king
I was laughing at your remark - and didnt take it personally - I wonder if you can do the same.

You are aware of the fact that the "Ditto" did not refer to the project (which I called promissing) but to it being nice to have chatted (briefly) with Bassman?

PS: And the not so great thing to discover was (IMO) that split 'cause my Opera/Linux does that all the time which is annoying. Nothing about the project.
Not sure that I remember lots of the old days though. Hard to remember when all the postings are still in limbo...
As for the post... yeah, I got a signed paper-version.

Hiya Tube,
It was the
Still the project sounds promising, not?
that I was refering to - as we called this a project - I took it as you did not consider it a very good idea.
Sorry if I misread your thoughts
I'll have to get a new arial sensor - no offence would have been taken by me - as I dont go up in the air about peoples views - they have a right to them, as far as I am concerned.
I thought I would just do a bit of defending
Got your application - thanks - welcome to the team - you will get an email, as soon as we start the forum which is set up and ready to go.

Oh dear have I come at a bad time...?
I heard this thread was just to be a list so I didn't read the backlog and came straight to this last page to bookmark for future reference ..and I see there is some already some discussion of essential philosphical differences.
Anyway, the name 'Area 42' sounds intriguing. But until I have some idea what that might be I will refrain from further comment.

Yes the page indicated was the one that sent me here.
The registration link did not work for me.
For the record, I would like to be able to offer an entry on the Great Vogon Detour (aka Rupert) of last Jan/Feb/Mar, or at least the creation of n2g2, the great Nowhere 2 Go 2 if you consider such sidebars important to the general history of h2g2. I do.
