Descent into Insanity - A View into What Makes Me Tick
My H2G2 Page
...Which, hopefully, will bestow upon you some knowledge on you as to the way I think, sending you away slightly more confused and scared than when you came here in the first place.
In any event, here goes, for those few of you who actually want to know the way I think...
Random Fact of the Until-I-Get-Around-to-Updating-it-Time-Interval
iPods run at 5% to 95% humidity, noncondensing.
Greetings
Hey. I'm Jamie. I've gone by several names in my 16 years living here on earth, but Jamie is the current one, with ThePixelGuru being my screen name. Anyway, I hope you like what I have to say,1 and I hope you stay a bit and chat afterwards. So, pullupachair,2 have some (I find it more satisfying than the that my friends do love so much), settle down and have a pickinick (clap clap)3 here for a while.
Jamie Real Quick!
If you want to know some about me but don't feel like reading the whole thing, here's me in a nutshell:
I'm your average kinda crazy high-schooler gamer. I know about a lot of games. I'm also a Mac-using computer junkie, and play console games.4 That's me real quick! Oh, and I like to argue.
1. Games - Lots of 'em
First of all, I'm a 16 year old gamer-type who sits around, memorizing more game rules than are healthy because I live in the boonies and there's nothing else to do...
Anyway, I play Warhammer 40k,5 Dungeons and Dragons,6 Star Wars RPG,7 Magic: The Gathering,8 and I'm thinking about getting into Rifts, Alterity,9 and Chuthulu, just because Lovecraft's storyline is really cool.
2. Reading - With a good
LotR10 or RPG11 rulebooks, or H2G2: I read and commit to memory evey fact which I will never actually use. It's a very methodical system, actually - as soon as I memorize something, the powers that be take away all its practical applications.12
In any event, that's my late night activity when my parents won't let me out of my room - kidding, I mean at 2 in the morning when for some reason they think its unrealistic for me to be downstairs on the computer waking them up with my typing... shesh.3. Computers - and other things electronic
I like computers quite a bit. They're a lot of fun. Right now I have the original Bondi Blue iMac13 Also, Spike just got an iPod, which makes me more jelous of him and his G4... But, I like him anyway. Happy birthday, Spike, even though I'm a little late. Random Musing alert- I want one of the new iMacs. The slick, 800Mhz one with the built in CD-RW/DVD-R and flatscreen monitor and 60GB HD space... wow... Or, I could go for one of the dual 1GHz G4 ones, also with a SuperDrive... And a GeForce4!14 sigh... Speaking of Macs, which are far superior,15 visit The Orchard and express this superiority of the enlightened Mac users! Proud to be a MUG! Anyway, enough of the rant. I don't play many computer games, and mostly old ones. Some of these follow here in no particular order: Diablo, WarCraft II, StarCraft and BroodWar, X-Wing (which isn't working right now), Oni, Descent I and II, Havoc... and some others I'm sure I forgot. Once I get my new computer,16 I'll probably get into FPS17, and I'll be getting Halflife, Unreal Tournament, and Quake 3 Arena. So, at some point, look me up for a game. I'll be more than happy to to blow you away in a fabulous online gore-fest. As well, the boisterous Silent Knight and I will be designing a map... more on this later.
4. Console Games - GameCube Rules
Let's face it. It really is the true king of consoles. But anyway, I love the GameCube. It's got great graphics, and despite some complaints, I love the now controllers.18 Anyway, I have Rouge Leader, Super Smash Bros. Melee19 and Luigi's Mansion. I also have a N64 and quite a few games for that, too.
5. Music - Mostly bad
...but that's ok, because its enjoyable even though I realize that it is most certainly not quality music. Except for a few, that is. Once I get home, I'll list exactly what, if you care, but I don't have it with me. Update - list much later... I'm really lazy, and don't have the time even if I wanted to... Sigh...

People I Know
Now onto other things. People I know on H2G2 are as follows, in no particular order:
People I KnowSpike AndersonVirabhadraGalenAmuntariStriderSilent Knight
In Summary...
Have I written something you like? How about something you don't? Do I share an interest with you? Do I know you? Do I not know you? Do I want to? Do I not want to? If yes to any of those...good. Drop me a line, even if it says nothing. After all, have I really said anything this whole time? I'm always happy to talk for hours about nothing... Talk back. I talk back (my parents hate that). See you around H2G2 hopefully.
