harry potter'sa so daft. the only way to get my in a cinem,a showing it is under heavy sedation.

Lord of the Rings in less than a week then! Yay!
It looks reeeally good. Think I might see it when all the initial fuss has died down though. The cinemas get so packed.

still haven't seen it. my parents went whe i was out so i'm oretty miffed bout that.

It was really good!!!! I loved the talking walking trees. They were so funny. You really must see it.
Oh, don't worry about disappearing from h2g2 for a while (I read your other posting) I've been v. busy too.

Oh, they're brilliant, and they speak really slowly, so it takes them ages to actually say anything worthwhile. Theres a bit where Pippin and wotsisname, Dom Monaghans character, who I can't remember, are escaping from the orcs and they go into the forest where the trees are. The orcs don't find them but they ask the trees for help, and the trees are so dense that it takes them hours just to make a decision as to whether the two of them are orcs or not!

Yeah. I can spell so much better when I'm just using pen and paper.

i remember in school years ago we were doing this letter writing thing and one guy had to write his all out again coz he spelt sincerely wrong at the very end.

Luckily I've never done that myself. But I do get confused between when to put 'yours faithfully' and 'yours sincerely' still sometimes!

one goes with "dear sir" and the other with "dear joe bloggs"

which way round do they go?? and why are there such rules to confuse us?

No idea. I wish someone could tell me.
Why the English language has to have such stupid quirks in it is beyond me. I bet the Italians and the Spanish don't have this problem.
(As far as I'm aware they don't).
