happy new year to you too. was just thinking that you hadn't been about in ages. figured it had to be that bad computer....those things are terrible. can't wait till they invent a computer like Eddie on the Heart of Gold so I can argue with it.

NPY Posted Jan 23, 2004
woops!! did you see jeremy clarkson on tv last night talkibng about what compurters did for us?? it was quite interesting and he's kinda funny
Hey!
Kaz Posted Jan 23, 2004
I caught the very end of it. I bet it was quite good.
I used to hate Jeremy Clarkson because of his lack of respect for the environment and the singlemindedness he used to radiate on Top Gear until I saw his case for Brunel on the great britons thing. It showed that he actually had a brain!
He is quite funny-did you see the grumpy old men Christmas special?
Hey!
NPY Posted Jan 27, 2004
i think so. yeah and they were talking about how you always get socks and have to look so excited at stupid pressies and how no one ever says they had the best every Christmas but say it was good and quiet. some of those guys are mad.

I thought what Arthur Smith said about advent calendars was hilarious
'B******* to advent calendars! They will not terrorise me!!!'
btw sorry for the late reply, have been inundated with college work do, getting it all ready for an 'interim assessment'
ugh, horrible!

NPY Posted Feb 17, 2004
oooo sounds nice! thought the computer was being bad again.
so you're not a big fan of the advent calender then? all the choc in them probably doesn't even make up an entire fredo bar. may as well buy 24 fredos and it'd be cheaper and more choc.

Kaz Posted Feb 24, 2004
No I was quoting Arthur Smith, that's what he said on the programme, sorry if I confused you.
Hey!
NPY Posted Feb 26, 2004

Kaz Posted Mar 9, 2004
They're ok. Can't say I'm overly fussed now I'm a bit older. I used to like them but the novelty sort of wears off as you get older, doesn't it? Or does it? I dunno, do you like them?
Hey!
NPY Posted Mar 10, 2004
i don't know. i think if someone gave me one i wouldn't turn it down. i'd only ever buy myself one in the middle of december when they werte reduced to 50p and even then it's if i could be bothered. more in a bar of

Kaz Posted Mar 10, 2004
Yeah. they are a bit of a rip off.
*sigh* another example of the commercialisation of Christmas.........
?
...That was supposed to be a muffin...
Why can't we have a muffin smiley? Or even better, save using two smileys, a chocmuffin smiley?
Maybe we should start a campaign going, like everyone did for the towel smiley? did we get a towel smiley in the end?
I hereby launch a small scale campaign for the above smiley!!!
Hey!
Kaz Posted Apr 21, 2004
absolutely and totally!
sorry I've been away for so long, lots of stuff to do for college, but I'm ok now, so got lots more time to spend on h2g2!
We Definetly need a smiley
On another point, did you see that happy birthday BBC2 thing last night?
Hey!
NPY Posted Apr 26, 2004
i only saw a coupke of minutes of it. think i had work to do at th4 time. was it any good?
Hey!
Kaz Posted May 4, 2004
yeah. It was pretty good. I thought hitchhikers might've been mentioned though, or did that go out on BBC1 when it was first aired? I can't remember.
What was annoying was that it made me realise how many good progs I have missed over the years! especially great britons-I missed most of the programmes for the top ten, when it was on. I dunno why, maybe they were on at strange times or something, but I think I missed nearly all of them except Alan Davies' bid for John Lennon, which was quite good, and I caught a bit of Jeremy Clarkson's Brunel one, but I didn't see all of it.
recently I made a mental note to watch the Alan Clarke Diaries as well when they came on BBC2 because they looked so funny, but Ive missed all of those as well!
