Did you know that Douglas can be spotted in the pub as they're drinking the six pints? you can see him just as Arthur replies to Ford's 'How would you react if I told you I wasn't from Guildford...' I think.

Don't know whether this is absolutely right, but I think my mum said the beach thing was filmed near Dorset, West Bay. in which case I've been there. I think that beach might've also been used for Reggie Perrin.
