I lurk a bit, but I pop up here and there on the site. Lots of almonds, and I shall bring extra for you. Do you like the sugar coated kind?

Oh goody, goody!!
The sugar coated kind please. And I think that I would like them in gold. I know that in France they have both gold and silver coated almonds for special occasions. I think that three-quarters of a century deserves the gold coated kind don't you?
Looking forward to meeting you

Very dear abbi normal,
What a wonderful costume. and you radiate such postive wonderful thoughts and ideas. I think that I suggested on the other thread that you should get a lift with the special jet that is being commissioned for the guests across the pond.
I shall make quite sure that I stand near you in order to benefit from all your "goodies".
Looking forward to meeting you

Way cool !
Good evening AR1,
I am writing to accept your very kind invitation. Inspiration for a fancy dress failed me, so, as I said would, I stuck a pin in the dictionary. It came up with 'gradient'.
I thought, best of three then.
It came up with Jeremiah,
hmmm, not suitable really.
Third time lucky?
It came up with 'cracker'! (Small 'c' - so no Robbie Coltrane impressions you'll be glad to hear.) Definition - a small paper cylinder containing sweets, toys, paper hats and explosives! So that's me. I'm coming in red and green crepe paper, with some shiny ribbon tied round the middle and pockets full of sweets, small plastic toys, paper hats and ... gunpowder!
See you there

What pleasure I have had reading through this thread. As someone barely younger than AR1 I think that this is the most wonderful idea for a party.
I am coming as a DNA molecule. It seems appropriate.

Dear Imogen
You and I are the two "seasoned" researchers. I'm glad that you are being sensible and coming as a #DNA moluecule. There will be nothing left of me if my feline guests decide to take to their normal repast and gobble up my most tasty mermaid's tail!!
See you tomorrow

My very dear
What a brilliant idea!! You will be a most beautiful cracker I am sure. But please do not bring "real" gunpowder with you. that might make us all explode and would be horrid.
Just a little bit of friendly TNT to make a few sparks when we try and tweak you.!!.
See you tomorrow.
Much
Will you come with me on my motor-bike ride through the Karroo which Wrinkled Rocker is offering me as a oresent? Perhaps we could get a Harley Davidson. I certainaly will be too frightened to ride it myself.!!
