Hi AR1!
Sorry I haven't been here in a while. I've been very, very busy at work (which is where I get most of my posting done *ahem*). Since I'm in the news business, we've been preparing many packages for the sad anniversary of Sept. 11. I have 3 projects I'm working on right now. Hopefully when things slow down a bit, I'll be back here more often.

Hi dear Jesi,
It is great to meet you "en passant" so to speak - like on the next word thread, and now I see that you know our dear flautist Amy+Ace. When you have time do chat, otherwise as you say it is nice to know that there is some one in far off NZ whom one knows and is interested in.
A big Ar1

Hi dear Jesi,
Can you please settle a discussion. I think you are a male and Amy+ thinks you are a female. It does not really matter, and if you do not want to tell us please do not bother.
I hope that you ahve been able to do your skiiing.
A big AR1

My very dear Shea and Pheloxi,
I have not been on line so have been missing out on your skirmishes. Anyway, I hope all is made up now!!.
I have missed having your news Shea. Hope the letter did not upset you!!. I was asked by some dear friends yesterday to do the reading at their Mass for their 25th wedding anniversary. I was extremely touched, particularly as I have been married for some 53 years but never managed 25 in succession!!.
I also sent you a message for the 11th September. it is difficult because I do hope that I did not upset you with that!.But that is "getting to know you" isn't it? Please let me know if I did.
And dear Pheloxi. I have not ben writing to you or and as you seem to be having a very intimate conversation with someone on that thread!!. Hope you are keeping well. I have been reading some interesting articles in our little Catholic journal The Tablet on the conference in Johannesburg. Lots of wisdom there it seems and a reappraisal of the problems. It is a pity that one cannot design a wind-up stove!!. Like the wind-up radio. I saw a good documentary on Trevor Baylis who invented it on the TV yesterday.
I send you both my very fond greetings and also to dear TJ. How is he?
Your very loving AR1
We go on holiday on Thursday for a week to Newquay on the west coast of Cornwall. I am looking forward to it particularly to being near the sea which I love.

You didn't upset me with either your letter, or your Sept. 11 thoughts. They were lovely. Since I work in the news industry, things got crazy around Sept. 11. I worked a lot of overtime getting all the packages together for the anniversary. It's difficult work to do, because I spent months helping to put together a database of all the victims, and formated over a thousand pictures of them. It was quite sad seeing all of those smiling faces, and knowing they were all gone.
TJ is doing well. He used to be able to come online to h2g2 a lot before, but his work hours were shifted, and he doesn't have a lot of free time during work hours to come here. The rest of the time we've been spending together. I don't know if the glow will recede once we're no longer newlyweds, but I hope not! I'm able to post at work sometimes, and like tonight ... he's working, and I'm not, so I have some time to myself.

To all my dear friends on this thread,
I am taking my son and my brother on holiday to Cornwall on Thursday for a week. I shall not therefore be able to chat to you and gain strength from all your letters and words of encouragement.
Go well, think of us, and I shall be enjoying all the lovely memories I have of our happy times together,.
A fond to you all AR1 a
