Can you imagine it - and apprently one also taps with one's fingers. Very intriguing as to how that is done, She sounds such a nice person who has written the article. Called Micky and she lives in America. Sleep tight my dear pheloxi. I am off now. AR1

Hi AlsoRan1
I hope you don't mind, but pheloxi introduced you to me (without your knowledge )
He told me what a wonderful person you are and how positive and strong you are.
I hope you don't mind me leaving this message, but it is good to hear that someone of more (how can I put this) senior years can get to grips with h2g2 (I can't, believe me!!)
It was nice talking to you, and if you are ever in my direction, be sure to pop in and say hello!!
Vicki

I'm sure you have your good qualities.
I have come across your name once or twice before, but I don't think we have actually spoken.

Hi Vicki
Are you Shea's sister? I sm not too sure if I have got the relationship right!!. It is so nice to meet you. I must say that I think I have super friends on hootoo and it grieves me that I am, for the moment, unable to make full contact with them due to my wretched fingers. Anyway, here's hoping that 2003 will bring a dramatic improvement in their condition.
We are getting ready for Christmas. I have a super person called |Hazel who helps me in the house and yesterday we tried to make some Christmas cakes (belatedly) using a receipe that a friend had given me in 1958 when she was my next door neightbour in Zimbabwe. I cooked them in my new oven and sadly did not realisde thsat Celsius and Fahrenheit heats are radically different. My other carer came to help me have my bath and when I came out there was the most delcious smell of char-broiled Christmas cake!!. So we are using them a sort of energy rusks!!.
Happy Christmas if I do not manage to talk to you again. before then. AR1

Hi my very dear Shea, bunch of red fragrant es,
I hope that Vicky Virago IS your sister/.!!
I am beginning to feel more human again, thank goodness, and am trying desperately to get the house into some sort of normality before the festive season. I am really excited because my granddaughter, who is studying at Sheffiled University (environmental engineering) is coming to spend it with me. It will be so good to see her because sadly I have not had much time with her at all.
Would you believe it if I told you that my two friends who came to Calais weith me ten days ago have both written off their cars!!. So we now only have my faithful Renault Savannah between the three of us!!. Thank goodness it is roomy.
My darling son, after having inadvertently taken three of my diabetic tablets instead of his own for his illness last week landed up in hospital for the night. Quite by mistake they have found out that he also has diabetes so the two of us are off to OPD tomorrow morning to offer our precious red blood to the powers that be to examine the vaiours ailments that we suffer from. What did happen in the olden days!!. You just quietly lay down and died!!.
shall write again before Christmas./ Do not work too hard my dear. A big hello to TJ and to you very much affectionate AR1

Hi there, AR1!
Vicky Virago isn't my sister! My sister is on h2g2, but her name is: surprise! Shea's Sister! I tried to get her to come up with something a bit more original, but she thinks it's funny!
I hope you're still feeling better.
I had to laugh when you talked about your cake! My poor mother has such a difficult time trying to translate her recipes that are all written in Farenheit to the ovens down in the West Indies! Most of them just have numbers like 1, 2, 3, etc. Makes it tough to reckon!
I hope your son is feeling better! What a terrible mistake to make! Thank goodness it wasn't worse!
We're almost finished with Christmas preparations here. TJ insists on writing the cards for his family and friends, so of course, they aren't finished yet. I wrote out all the envelopes, and I hope he gets them done tonight so they won't be *too* late. I finished wrapping everything tonight. They say we may have snow for Christmas. That would be lovely!
Take care of yourself!
Shea

Thank you all for your Christmas wises,
I shall be replying after the festivities are over. My wonderful grandaughter is here and she has taken her old Grandma in hand and we now have a Christmas tree, the Christmas cards are up and the pressies are wrapped. All this is very difficult to do without fairly agile and pain-free fingers and hands. I am so blessed to have her with me.
Fondest love and we shall drink a toast to you all at lunch time.
Your very loving AR1

Very dear Caerwyn
thank you for your good wishes. I hope that you got everything finished on time and had a wonderful Christmas. I am sure that you did. Did the boys join you?
We took nearly four hours over the meal - very French!!.
Today I have just relaxed and enjoyed the visit of my lovely granddaughter from Oz.
Much affectionate
