My kitchen
Posted Jan 18, 2003
My kitchen makeover is only three weeks away. So I've started sorting out the current mess - delving in the back of cupboards & drawers, packing away all those utensils & equipment that just might come in handy one day. I think the next jumble sale will definitely come in handy.
What our cat will make of it all, I don't know. She's already sussed that something's up - no doubt she'll make herself scarce for the duration.
Ah, must remember to stock up on sugar for the workmen.

New Year
Posted Jan 1, 2003
Well here we are in 2003. I have firmly resolved not to make any resolutions. Feeling a little which is not really a good way to start the new year, but I'm sure I'll recover in time for next Christmas!

Happy Christmas Everybody
Posted Dec 23, 2002
Absolutely exhausted already after carol singing, cleaning, cooking, shopping, bedmaking. Just the last minute stuff to do now, then I can relax (ho ho). Visitors start arriving tomorrow afternoon so in case I'm not around for a few days, here's wishing everyone the Christmas they hope for.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Christmas is coming
Posted Nov 30, 2002
I feel very virtuous because I made mince pies this morning. Now I need a sit down because my hip aches from standing up all morning. Tomorrow I can start my 'Bob the Builder' chocolate advent calendar that I won in a raffle. (It was a choice of that or some dubious liqueur.) If I feel very industrious, I might even make a wreath to hang on the front door. Carol rehearsals are under way so apart from the dreary weather it's all getting rather festive. This is the part I enjoy. Somehow by the time Christmas comes , it's all a bit of an anticlimax. But you never know, this year might be different!

Coping without the internet
Posted Nov 4, 2002
I've just been internet deprived for about 36 hours...
This is what happens when your son sets up a complicated system that only he can sort out & he's away at university. At least he was able to log in from afar & fix it!
So instead of being here I spent several hours in Morrowind. Exhausting! I'm sure these games should have a health warning - took me quite a while to come back to reality......
