you mean Naked Gun, Naked Gun 2 1/2, and Naked Gun 33 1/3?

they're comedies...all staring Leslie Neilson...my favorite actor...I mean...he rox...he's also in Spy Hard, 2001: A Space Travesty, er...and a lot of other movies...oh...he's also the Captain of the Posideon in Posideon Adventure...but that's a serious role...although you can tell he really wants to make a crack...how you ask...he's Leslie Neilson...of course he does!

Police Squad was the original TV series though, and technicaly it's 'From The Files of Police Squad: The Naked Gun'. He was a serious actor originaly, he was in an early episode of M*A*S*H where he played a serious role.

i have problems when I see him in a serious role. He's just not right for them...I keep waiting for that gag or thing he does just to move from serious to funny...
