In an old coffee-shop, the benighted
Young Parrot and Fork, re-united,
Enjoyed an expresso
And ate amoretto
And their feellings were truly requited.

Next morning New York seemed quite grim
and the parrot regretted his whim
to go off on his own
with no mobile text phone
and no friends to accompany him.

But as soon as he got into town
he found he no longer felt down
for the shop signs were bright
and the food looked all right
so he managed a smile from his frown.

It was hard to know where he should start.
There were so many shops in this part.
Though it took quite a while
he surveyed all in style
from posh Tiffanys down to Woolmart!

Not one had the futon he sought
like the catalogue picture he'd brought.
He was getting quite vexed
not to mention perplexed
that they didn't stock parrot size "short".

So he went on a tour of the states
and send postcards to all of his mates
but the one meant for Spook
by a narrative fluke
got sucked into some wormhole star gates.

Spook, I've just found an enormous Doctor Who film advert lurking in the BBC h2g2 blob database!!!

We apologise for this further interruption to your parrot hunting, but the advisory caption service would now like to interrupt and correct itself on a point of order. That previous caption was obviously intended to say "watching without the sound" since "listening without the sound" is clearly nonsense as indeed would any captions at all be on an audio service.
