The parrot he searched far and wide
as he'd once read a whole travel guide.
So he knew there were places
with strange names and races
of parrots he'd not yet espied.

The parrot flew first to Madrid.
He was never quite sure why he did.
It seemed that his mouth
had this urge to fly south
so the rest of him went where it bid.

He'd intended to fly on some more
but this place looked quite fun to explore
and besides he was tired
from the flight and required
further snacks than he'd brought from his store.

Too good for nonsense (don't tell Spook I said that) !

Now Madrid proved to be quite a find.
It had restaurants of every kind.
While he pecked at his meal
it did seem quite ideal
to have left rainy England behind.
