Re: post 10, the http://www.archive.org link, excellent link, DG.
On the blue frankfurters scene from the BBC "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" series, it comes up near the conclusion of the first of the six parts of the series, aboard the Vogon space cruiser. (Maybe those weren't frankfurters after all, merely something that looked vaguely like frankfurters. With Vogon food, who can say?)

...or penicillum or aspergillus mold ridden bread, like I'd fear laryngitis eating something like that...

There was an old folk song about a dog named Blue. Maybe he really was blue, and those hot dogs were made from his remains.

All of drama is representational. Sometimes the actuality is more relevant, especially from the point of view of performers. Sometimes the things represented are the more important, this especially from the point of view of the audience. Sometimes it helps to specify the framework of orientation one is concerned with rather than simply assuming one or the other. Both standards are important.
I'm kind of reminded of of an occasion I was out a date seeing a movie featuring my date in the starring role.
She asked me afterward what I thought of the film and rather naively I responded in terms of the subject matter, describing the story as tragic.
She seemed crushed. It was only then that I realized she was fishing for compliments on her performance.

Date went okay, I rallied with appropriate compliments. Just goes to show you that sometimes I can be a little stupid.

"...against human stupidity, the Gods themselves contend in vain..."
Still haven't broken the Monkey curse on the wheels. Eventually that monkey may be tracked down and nailed. I've resolved on this go 'round to respond with black magic and commenced the effort, but it would be amusing to throw together a 'copy' of Man Ray's famous 'monkey crucifixion', a perennial favorite at counter-cultural camp art shows.
...just so long as one nails the right monkey...

You mean the one with Tim Roth in it?

Tim Roth isn't in the cast list for this one. The best-known actors are James Franco and John Lithgow. It came out in 2011.

They remade it *again*? I was unaware. I was thinking of the Tim Burton version, I guess.

Hollywood often lacks imagination. Right now, there's a remake of "Three Musketeers" in the theaters. It'sbiggest selling point is that it's in 3D. The plot is horribly stupid.

Awix' review of that particular film is called 'Dumb and Dumas': A87706542. I recommend it (the review, not the film.)

Thanks for the warnings, guys
I went to see the Tintin movie a few nights ago. Quite funny. Had to see it since my countryman Palle Huld was the inspiration for the character. It's a pity he died last year, 98 years of age, before he could see this
