There's a story about Jackie Gleason, the heavyset American comic actor who was in "The Honeymooners" TV show: he went into surgery for a multiple coronary artery bypass operation. When he came out of the operating room and was convalescing, he had all kinds of tubes coming our of him. He felt the need of a shower, so he pulled out the tubes and walked over to the bathroom and took a shower. The and were not amused.

I didn't see that movie, but I saw him in "Nothing in common," where he played Tom Hanks's father. I also saw him in the sequel to "The Sting." He also had a TV show on Saturdays in the 1960s.

smokey/bandit films - 1st 2 were my type of humour, but they killed the run trying a 3rd

my humour is Rowan and Martin's laugh in's - but no one shows them here any more- not since first shown many years ago

I was in college when Rowan and Martin was on TV. I liked to go to the dorm lounge to watch them on the TV that was there.
