How is life in New England? Well, there is enough poetry.
I went to hear Stephen Gyllenhaal read from his new book of poetry Saturday night in Martha's Vineyard. Stephen's wife (Naomi) and children (Jake and Maggie) were there as well. I enjoyed it a lot.
Jake seems to have gotten a tattoo, probably for his next movie. We'll know more later.

Dragonfly Avenging Washcloth
This evening I've been assembling the little books that I'll be handing out to family and friends at Christmas. The title is "Annals of Claus, 2006," and the four parts are:
1. Santa's Secretaries, A to Z
2. Hell's Kringles
3. Roll out the Fruitcake
4. I was a Spy for Santa
It's a mock annual report, as if Santa Claus had succumbed to the corporate mentality that seems to have so much clout in the world these days. Don't worry, Santa is still Santa

I'm happy to be back at my regular PC with Windows, rather than the Apple laptop with Foxfire that I had to use this morning at my brother's house
