So sorry to hear bout your friend ER 
I can only imagine what he's going through, and you on his behalf. I had a breast cancer scare last October. "Scare" doesn't even begin to describe how I felt. Then the two months of waiting, and the whole time I just knew I was going to die. But it turned out to be nothing. I'm lucky in that regard, but for two months I was going though mental hell. All I can say is that I now have an appreciation for how precarious life is. Please give him huge, squishy 
from all of us. And give yourself a couple also. Even better... here take this one now. 
Cause you know we love you and we'd be down there with you if we could just figure out how to stand on our heads for that long
