Hi Batty smiley - biggrin

I'm not too bad, really! I'm definitely feeling better. I can't say I've put any weight back on, but I'm getting there.

I still have no idea what was/is wrong smiley - erm I was stuck in hospital for nearly 2 weeks, and it took them that long to get around to doing a CT scan. I was out the same day, feeling no better and still really sick. So I came home and went back to bed smiley - sadface

And now, after all of this time, would you like to know what the CT scan results were?

So would I. I'll tell you as soon as they tell me!

I AM feeling better though, so I'll be back around again from now on. Thanks to all who posted messages for me. I really appreciate it smiley - hug

<socksmiley - elf

BTW. Granny, I was shunted about so much, you'd never have found me! I had 4 different beds in 4 different wards, and 2 side wards, in the time I was there smiley - yikessmiley - ta for the thought, though

I'm glad you're feeling better but I'm still worried they didn't figure out what was causing this insanity...

hey! who are you calling insane? smiley - winkeye

i'm bothered by that myself. that's the nhs for you...useless! if i ever get the results, i'll let you know. if not...i'll just have to drag myself up and get well on my own. actually, given the state of the nhs, that's not a bad idea.....smiley - biggrin

When they checked your liver did they check for hemochromotosis

I don't think it shows up unless specifically searched for.

And depending on the date/time chosen they're going to call me (so far, the veggie meets are the only one calls have seemed to work from) and so we can say hi! smiley - puff

I haven't tried to call in a while because, while it's cheap for me to call the UK, I get charged for a minimum of 10 minutes, and I don't like paying for 10 minutes to talk to the BT thing...

And check this out for cheap rates from the UK... http://dial00.com/

I don't even know *how* to call the UK... I haven't placed any international calls in my life, I don't think..... which is odd, given that I've got relatives in the Czech republic..

Good to see you back, Mistdancer. I hope, even if they don't figure out what happened, that at least your body knows and heals up! Or, try this: When my mom had breast cancer, after her mastectomy, I told her that every morning she had to stand in the mirror, like right before she got into the shower, and give her body *that look* (i.e. the one she used on myself and siblings when we had done something that would warrant grounding), and to say to her body, "_Don't_you_dare_."
It seemed to work, the cancer hasn't come back in seven years.... Maybe the same thing could work for your body, whatever it was. smiley - wizard

Good to have you back, and up and running (or slowly hopping about)! smiley - hug

There is definitely alot to be said for mind over body. smiley - bigeyes Usually your own body though it can also work on your love's... smiley - biggrin

The mind has amazing powers when it comes to controlling and healing the body. The trick is to find how how it all works. But attitude has a lot to do with it.

It seems that Mistdancer's attitude is a good one, so I don't think we need to fear too much.... smiley - cheerup

Believe me, March Hare, if you ever get a phone number from the UK and want to know what we need to do to modify it to call from here, ask me! I certainly know! (And if this makes no sense, it's 6ish, and made sense in my head...)

Who knows, if I ever get on regularly and often, it might come in handy.... All those extra numbers, in oparticular the ones you just don't dial, like lots of ones and zeros.......

Everyone healthy? Yes? smiley - cheerup

Up in pieces and helter-skelter. For not having much going on, there's a lot to deal with!

I just switched my computer to a new OS (boy, is that confusing... moving the last three years of my life slowly and painfully to something totally weird); my baby (rabbit) is getting used to us and life here in the house; trying to learn about medications for depression as I may be on them; still getting settled; trying to plot a course for my life. You know, the usual, and all that. smiley - winkeye

How are you recovering so far? Are you recovering so far?
