A stick

One of my students has just brought me a present.
It is a stick and when you tip it up...it sounds like water trickling........must be full of beads or something.
. Sometimes students can be very nice.
It's very strange but will keep me entertained for the day.
Small things amuse small minds.

exams

Finished marking at 2.15am ..had to be up at 6.15am to be at work for 8.30am.
Have had to ask for an extension for the work i am doing for my postgrad. studies
I hate this time of year.The second marking will be coming next. Luckily my dissertation student got hers in early so i don't have that to worry about.
Daughter is still struggling through AS exams.She said she is inventing more and more ridiculous answers ...good for her. Exams are supposed to be for demonstrating understanding but they are really just a test of memory.
someone just said when I am in the building there is always a nice smell.....thats me wafting .
waft ..waft waft 
I am really really tired 
I hope I can stay awake in this meeting this afternoon.

My daughter has signed up to h2g2.
Shes: nessie of the short hair.
I don't feel too good today
It's pouring with rain again...humid and sticky.
I've put Henry the plant on the windowsill to get some fresh air.....he's looking a little peaky too
better get back to it....

back again

well here I am back at work.
It's thundering and raining outside....may have to shut my window.
Or I could my computer near the window so it will get wet.
...nah never get away with that one...it's probably been tried before.
Had to send my assistant home..she didn't look well...probably working too hard like the rest of us.
I tried to go for a picnic on Monday but the countryside was closed.
. Ended up in the back garden with a beer and sandwiches...so much for adventure. I was hoping to at least get ravished in the woods....but they were closed. 
Never mind ...Its a short week this week

It's Friday.....and a long weekend to come...not coming back to work until Wednesday hooray !!!!!!
Lots of sleep 
Unfortunately also have to do some gardening 
One of the neighbours said they saw a Japanese sniper hiding in the grass.
Lots of drinking 
may be a picnic if the weather stays nice.
bliss ..no work for 4 days...I'm not taking any home with me either !!
