another scorpio ... I turned 37 on Monday!! What a coincidence! I seem to be surrounded by November people...
Hubby is still on the but not Monday to Thursday... but he likes to make up for that at weekends . He is either not working at all or finishing by 3.30 on Fridays and I am begining to hate going homeas he is already slurring and having problems focusing when I get there. It makes me want to punch him so instead I just go into another room. The rest of the time our relationship is miles better as I am not finding empties stashed everywhere!!!

Happy belated birthday..
November is the month for birthdays here, my boy and about half a dozen relatives
Sounds like it is one of the things that you are going to just have to ignore and let him get on with it, alas

I have the same November thing with my family! So the Nov pay packet gets used up on the birthdays. I then get bullied into buying more presents for an over-commercialised supposedly christian festival (bah humbug) and start the new year skint! Not having kids I wish I could opt out of the 'festive' season!

Marmite Posted Nov 23, 2006
Bah, humbug
There are a few december birthdays here also, 2 on xmas eve and one on xmas day, and its always the same old problem, that xmas is dear enough as it is let alone giving someone a birthday pressie on the same day as well.
Damn inconsiderate parents never plan ahead

I don't have a very big family but there are only two members of the family who don't have birthdays in November or December and they are just after Christmas - that's why I married a man who was born in August(so I have some spare cash when it comes to his birthday!)
The job is still going well , the usual teething problems getting to grips with it all. The team of people are all very friendly and helpful and there is a nice family business feel to it all. I am so relieved that I don't hate it!!!!!

So you are a nice happy bunny when you get home then, after an enjoyable day at work
Damn rain, weekend just gone, i was trying to put some decking up and all i managed to do was make a swimming pool out of thick muddy wet clay
Any Advice?!
Muddling Through Posted Nov 28, 2006
It is lovely being able to got to work without negotiating office politics and come home leaving all the work stuff there
You could make a fortune with a swimming pool full of muddy clay!!
Not the best thing for decking though! The rain has been incredible! Some total idiot delivery driver left a box of books in my back garden in the rain so I came home to £50 worth of water damaged books. I had a rant over the phone though and felt much better

Hubby had to have a full medical for his job. They tested his liver and the really good news is he has done it no damage as yet
Any Advice?!
Marmite Posted Nov 28, 2006
First of all excellent news about hubby, thats is brilliant
Delivery drivers are numbskulls, my boy delivers the local paper here, and they are dumped outside the house on a monday night normally, there was no sign of them last night, but got up this morning and there they were totally drenched, 150 papers which the people around here wont get now
The driver could have easily put them under the cover roof we have outside the front, but no, he left them at the end of the drive, prat.
By the way, you were on here late today, thats unusual, and i must have just missed you

Gotta just love wads of soggy newspaper !
I was on late because I wanted to share the news of hubbys medical. I am hoping to be able to reply sooner and spend more time on the site soon . As of January I will be working odd shifts and getting days off all over the place – I am quite looking forward to only doing one full week in 5!

Marmite Posted Dec 6, 2006
,wow, i feel privileged and flattered that you wanted to share your good news with me, excellent
Oooooh, Muddling online more often, i better have a shave and do my hair
Any Advice?!
Muddling Through Posted Dec 9, 2006
Why would I not want to share good news with you when you have listened to all the bad stuff?! It doesn't seem very fair to just keep dumping my problems with no positives !!!
Don't stand on ceremony for me... I like to take people as I find them and often sport the 'dragged through a hedge backwards' style myself!
Gotta go and wash out my hair dye - in 5 mins it will be plum cloured!
Any Advice?!
Marmite Posted Dec 11, 2006
Agreed
'dragged through a hedge backwards', yep that is me most of the time
Plum colour.......emmm nice
Any Advice?!
Muddling Through Posted Dec 13, 2006
With hair like mine hours of styling still produces the same messy look ... the colour is in reality black with a sort of plum/purple sheen and it is perfect for me as I have a purple obsession! Not quite what it said on the packet though! Give it a few weeks and I will probably be trying another shade... I get easily bored and refuse to have it cut so the only change I can make is colour!

Have you gone for the Mrs.Slocombe look yet
My hair has a life of its own, one day it looks ok, but the next day its like.....do what, the wife normally give it a number 7 or 8 about every 2 months, but after that it is more like a 2,77,35,15,6,9,47,-3

Where have I been? It's been so long !
Just to clarify... I have never gone for a blue or pink rinse and have asked my friends to shoot me if I ever do!! I do, however, currently bear a striking resemblence to a 70's cartoon character but fortunately few people remember Crystal Tips!
This will probably be my last post before the festive thingy so I will wish you a Happy Wotsit and thank you for your support this past year

Happy New Year
I hope you had a great festive season. Mine was perhaps the most bearable Christmas ever as we managed to get through it all with not one single family argument!!
The downside of it all was that I spent 10 days with hubby not actually sobering up once ! I lost my rag yesterday and told him exactly how I feel (again) but this time added that as he never listens I don't think he cares about me and think he only sticks around because I pay the bills, do the shopping and most of the housework so he can get p*ssed up and know that everything around him will be dealt with.
He hasn't touched a drop since then and has been on the but I am not holding my breath! I will just keep my head down, encourage (without patronising) if I can and hope that this time he really means it!

Do what, i have just come online to post you Happy New Year to see that you posted 18 minutes ago and now you have gone
Timing was never my forte, thats why i became a drummer
Well it was christmas, not that that is a good enough excuse for drinking too much, but maybe 2007 will look brighter
We had a great xmas, it was quiet and non too stressful but fun was had by all
The wife was a bit tearful on xmas day and new years eve as this was the first time without her mum, but we soon got around that by me acting the prat...no change there then, we soon had her laughing again, but she has been kinda low over the festive period.
Again lets hope 2007 brightens up for all of us.
Key: Complain about this post
