It was about midnight smiley - fullmoon when I posted. I have always had a weird relationship with sleep smiley - sleepy and I am a definate owl (where hubby is a lark!). Also, I didn't want to sleep too early as I am working until 10pm tonight. My take-away plans have been scrapped smiley - sadface, I think it might have had something to do with me saying "no alcohol smiley - ale in the office" but he claims its all due to a mate going round for the evening smiley - erm. I did get a dinner of veggie pie and roast potatoes before I came to work to make up for it and veggie samosa's in my pack up for later!

Our fence is propped up with extra bits of wood right now, smiley - yikes 3 of our posts have snapped at ground level. We were going to go out and get some new ones this morning but we had to stay in and wait for a bloke to come round and replace a roof tile that came loose smiley - sadface (and charge us £50 for the 2 minutes he was up theresmiley - yikes)! So tomorrow morning we need to sort the posts out.

I tend to go to bed around 12ish but wake up at 3ishsmiley - erm and read my book until it drops on the floor, thus losing its place and me never remembering where i wassmiley - sadfacesmiley - zzz

Couldnt hubby go up on the roof and fix it, it would have saved you some dosh that you could have put towards a take-awaysmiley - biggrin

Hubby could have fixed the roof but we were missing one vital component...smiley - sadface a ladder! No one in the street has one long enough to reach the roof.

Did you have your take away at the weekend?smiley - biggrin

Sleep is over-rated anyway!smiley - laugh

Had to get around to setting up the video again smiley - yikes(it went in for repair) to record Life On Mars smiley - ok… trust me to be working for the first episode of the new series! All the best programs are on when I am not at homesmiley - sadface and all the rubbish is on when I am home! Maybe I should consider this new fangled 'plus' thing on digital TV smiley - ermbut the service I have doesn’t even work right so I am loathed to pay them any more money!!!!

smiley - popcorn ah there you aresmiley - biggrin

Yea, its a trickle now thats sounds calmingsmiley - biggrin

Sky +, trust me its brilliant, we have a video recorder and have the things i wanted to record i couldnt be bothered, set the time, set the timer, set bloody everything and then realise you have recorded the wrong channelsmiley - grr and got Songs of Praise or something.

With the sky+ you can record two things at once and believe me its magic

We don't have Sky smiley - sadface- we have cable!smiley - erm Just been taken over by Virgin and it costs an extra £15 a month smiley - yikesfor the + thing on the full package. Last night was the first time I wanted to record anything for months so it doesn't really seem worth it! (Ususally I find all the programs are repeated so often the video is not needed) But... the video was not fixed smiley - sadface and keeps switching between LP and SP and is unwatchablesmiley - wah... fortunately Virgin Media do provide a free + service on some channels/Programs smiley - smileyand Life on Mars is one of those - Yay!smiley - biggrin Planning to watch it when I get home tonight

Hey there! I have been working an early shift at the same time as hubby so got to see lots of him smiley - biggrinbut don't get the time for being on linesmiley - sadface.

Things are going smiley - ok here, how are things with you?

I have a busy week this week... finally getting the third wardrobe door we bought (at the same time as the rest of the wardrobe) in Sept - it's been a long wait smiley - yikes. The original was broken it two when it was delivered. It is going to be heaven to be able to keep the smiley - cat out of my clothes!

So there will be furniture building and when not doing that we will be treasure hunting on hubbys allotment. The woman on the plot next to his dug up some bones. As the local paper says;

"the bones are probably from the grave of a rich warlord from the ancient kingdom of Mercia, who was buried alongside a priceless bowl. It would once have been used for washing people's feet, and was a symbol of extreme wealth in Anglo-Saxon times."

They have a dig going on and we are going to see if we can get involved. It's all quite exciting!smiley - wow They think the whole place may be a burial ground.

Sorry, but i have been so busy that i havent had time to get on here to let you know about my dad.

Right, he fell ill about beginning of March and went into hospital for a while, 3 weeks in all i think, so when he came out he was very delicate and unsteady for a while, during this time he slipped in the bath and broke his left wrist and broke his right elbow plus breaking a couple of ribs, so he is plastered up both sides the dopey sod.

He cant really do much at the moment except moan at me to revise for my GCSE's, then moan at the footie and the cricket and anything else that credits a moan.

It shouldnt be too long until he gets back on here.
