Had a phone-call, this morning.... From our PT, who is our boss, and the manager at the gym...
he's been *gulp* working on new exercises for us to do, once the gym re-opens they sound.... terrible
He suggested I should don my elf/pixi costume, and do a home-workout, and with William videoing it from his phone... to upload to the gym's account to 'encourage others' to home-exercise... - I need encouragement to home-exercise... I've done sod-all since this all started; just a walk outside each day, which barely touches the sides, of our normal daily walking amount, and doesn't get anywhere close to the five plus hours of gym exercise I was doing a week My resting heart rate has now increased to 60! that's 8 BPM higher than normal resting HR
I've been doing some single leg squats, across the day, (which I normally do anyhow, e.G., when bending for cupboards etc, or talking off/putting on trousers), and I continue to run upstairs each time I go up to the bathroom or bedrooms, but, really, asides that I've done sod all.
Oddly, it appears no one else has been exercising either; on my Samsung watch, I've crept up the leader-board thing, and now in the top 15 and 20% of age, and all users

something not very clear
OK, so perhaps as much as a week ago, we got a letter through, the post, reportidly from "The UK government" - odd, there is no such thing as "UK government" - . - . I assume they ment to say "her majisty's government"
In which letter, seemingly from BoJo himself, it said … …
" if you have not yet received a letter to say you need to self-isolate for 12 weeks due to a medical condition, then you do not need too...."
Then, err... yesterday or the day before, I gets a TXT..... - saying I'm in an medically at risk group and, need to isolate for 12 weeks.
Given the obvious both these can't be correct. and given the 12 week self isolation seems quite random; some people started a 12 week isolation what, two or three weeks ago? I think I'll ignore that TXT, afterall it could be spam anyhow, and I've received nothing through my official NHS/hospital account/app, now from the official NHS/GP-surgery app/website.
In otter news; went to supermarket yesterday, to get stuff in before the bonk holiday weekend.
They can keep the supermarkets like this, post-C-19 - we had to queue, for a short period, and then, once in the shop; so loverly and not crowded, and no one pushing us out of the way, or forcing trolleys into us, so they could reach over to grab things, far more civilised than 'normal' got everything we wanted
Laundry day today, and a gov sanctioned 1 hour walk later.
I'm so aching now, with no gym, and my shoes are getting tighter and tighter, due to the fluid retention from not exercising an hours walk just doesn't come close to what I normally do each day at the gym got 2 hours sleep last night, I think my sleeps really down the pan now, likewise, no exercise
Lentils with chicken sausages for lunch, probably fish again for dinner

The Elephant in the...

In the.... corner of the room
Spent some time yesterday, slightly rearranging the front room.... creating a space in the corner of the room.
A corner, which, once this C-19 nonsense is all over, will be filled with; a pedistil (either a suitable salvaged second hand tall table/etc or simular, or I'll make something) drapped in nice shiney shimery cloth, and, thereby, giving space on top of which, for me to....
Put an Elephant in the corner of the room - I think we've already seen the elephant we'll get; its in the window of the currently closed, nearby charity shop, and.... its truly garish... all bright and shiney, and glittery and.... really garish and I may even get several; one for each corner of the room.
Well. they'll be a talking point, if nothing else

last of ... the summer air...

So, it looks like a bunch of morons, mainly in city's especially London, are ignoring government advice, and restrictions, and going about as if there is no lock-down... sun bathing, out in the parks/open spaces, having BBQ's, etc.... so, the government will eventually be pushed to withdrawel any access to 'going outside' for the rest of the population. great
It seems quite a divided country, ATM, from what I've heard from friends, relatives living in more rural, countryside locations, villages, small towns etc, there is far greater social distancing, and obedience on display in such places.... - to some extent that was bound to be the case; fewer people, lower people density, and so easier social distancing.... but, even so... There's been a steady increase in road traffic here, it was so* loverly and quiet for a few days, following the initial lockdown, but gradually its increased, and only some of the increase is deliverys etc, there's a lot more personal cars about, and a lot more cycles going about the place, and slightly more small groups 'hanging out', mainly slightly younger adults/late-teenagers etc
Well, off for our daily hours walk soon, by the river (the only outside place within walking distance of where we live), hopefully not too crowded (it was OK yesterday), and hopefully the government won't withdrawel this one remaining exercise and opportunity to get any fresh air; already with the reduction in exercise I've got a slight return of the oedema in my feet and legs, which is hurting, and my muscles are so achy/painful without exercise of any great amount... - an hours walking is our average walking a day, to and from the gym, and shops; on days we also go to the pub, plus gym, we walk 2 hours a day, plus the hour- hour and a half exercise in the gym....
Oddly, I've not gained any weight; looks like I've actually lost about 1 KG, despite the increased water retention.. - and no I can't take 'water tablets', to remove oedema, as they can wreck my kidneys/adrenals and end me in hospital
Currently hunting through my CD collection, finding the few I've missed, over the years, and copying them to the collection on the PC, before a single, big file transfer to the new SD/MMC for my phone (after the last SD card died on me)
Probably sandwichs for lunch today, and maybe a stirfry tonight, of noodles, pork strips, and red peppers, with garlic and ginger, and maybe onion too

this is all getting very boring
Can't motivate to exercise, without access to the gym, to do a decent cardio workout
went to shops yesterday, got chicken breast, beef mince, red peppers, and a few other bits... and Middle Easturn naan...
made hummus today
Cooked up the chicken breasts today, having marinated overnight with lemon juice, sunflower oil, sesame seeds, and Za'Ater spice blend
had a naan between me and W for lunch, with some of the chicken and some of the hummus which will be lunch for the next... four days I think
in otter otter news, got a result back from the hospital, I'd sort of forgotten about, had a CT scan a few... weeks, months? back, as I had been having some symptoms/signs of cancer relapse, scan came back negative, which was good
basically I'm just reading and reading (audio books), ATM, mainly trashy fiction stuff as my concentration is too crap for anything proper anymore helps pass the time though
ordered some stuff online last night from Bodyshop, and still waiting for a new SD card to arrive... - was disappointed the sandisk one just died so quickly, so went for Kingston this time once that is here, can move all my music over again, from the PC and then at least have space for a few more books... I'm getting through a book a day at the moment (short books work well for my concentration mind )
stay frosty
