The Last Chance Saloon is a darn nice place,
Red Dog. So is the Homesick Restaurant and
the Down and Out Diner. I frequent all three
places, so I should know. 
I frequent them frequently.
Now, why does it matter whether this thread
lives or dies? Can anyone figure out what
purpose it was supposed to serve when it
was started? Maybe the search for a purpose
is what will keep it alive.

I'm quite warm, thank you. 
The oilman filled my oiltank last week,
so my furnace will keep going afore the rest
of the heating season.
I've made cocoa applesauce cake and Manhattan
fish chowder this afternoon. All in all, it's
very cosy in here...

This was originally a journal entry for Red Dog... and for some reason it turned into a party. Then he tried to kill it... and it's only stayed alive because of multiple researchers' efforts to keep it so.
