We make your lives quite complicated, don't we?
It all stems from the worship of the almighty dollar!
As a movielover I would like to extend my apologies for this dastardly practice. There are many wonderful old films that are infinitely better than the stuff Hollywood inflicts on filmgoers nowadays. I would suggest you try those instead.

They used to show Dr. Who on PBS, elwood. They even showed some of the Tom Baker episodes on the SciFi channel for a while. I've got just about every one available on tape now ... just thought I'd throw that in to make you jealous ...

I shall resist the temptation to start talking Doctor Who, or you will never be able to stop me!
Someone who knows about such things informs me that it is extraordinarily easy to doctor a UK DVD player to play US discs. Don't ask me how, though, I'm still firmly a VHS man until Recordable DVDs become available (and more importantly, affordable).

Yes I've heard that you can doctor DVD players to play US discs. But of course it also doctors your guarantee at the same time
*starts dropping VHS tapes on Shea from a great height*

*chucks Betamax and V2000 tapes at GD to cover Shea's retreat*

Actually I've got a Betamax machine somewhere if someone wants to buy it. Its that large that only its brushed aluminium and fake wood veneer casing stop it doing a good impression of a refriderator.

YAY!!!
I've made it into the most frequent posters list for the last 24 hours. OK 58 ain't that much by Shea's usual standards, but I'm darned proud

Hey GreyDesk
*trys to gather up all the Betamax tapes for his Beta player*
Shea I don't know if I should be jealous or not
I haven't seen any Dr. Who episodes of any era!
*wonders if a DVD Doctor has to take the Hypocratic oath?*
Congrats DFly

But I'm not there anymore
BTW - take a look at my "My Space". I've finally revised it to say something of interest - and you get a mention

*This really isn't elwood. Just an amazingly lifelike reproduction.*
You should have left GreyDesk a mystery.
But the rest of your page was interesting. Did you choose the town you live in because you fit into one of the listed types of people? It must have made for an adventurous life to live so many places?
Well if I don't see any more posts from you, have a great weekend and see you Monday.

Well I had some time on my hands so I thought I would sit down and overcome my fear of GuideML and do something with my page. I've often felt that the total lack of information about me on the page somehow stopped me getting fully involved in the community. Now that I've got a vague sense of how to do it I'll probably edit and update it more and more. First edit will be hiding the history of my name
The reason I live in Brighton is its the only interesting town in Sussex, and 5 years ago Sussex was where I got a job. I tell you at the time I really needed one. And as I said, I love it here. (But will one day move back to Sheffield.)
Have a good weekend

Why back to Sheffield?
It would seem Brighton being on the coast would be the more attractive choice!
Not that I've ever been to either place. (I just looked them up on a map)
