Last night at dinner, I broke off a tooth. It doesn't hurt, but now there's a hole. Today I had to find a dentist who will take my insurance and hopefully not kill me. I lucked up and found one - and I only have to wait a month and a half to get in.

Anyway, I told the nice receptionist, 'I need to know how much this will cost. I am old and on Medicare.' She was very helpful, and it won't cost the earth to get it done.

"I broke off a tooth" ?

Part broke away ? or all the tooth came out ?

As "we" are short of NHS dentists, it was on our news prog' that more people are taking the painful task of pulling their own teeth out
as many can't afford private dentists

I'm sorry to hear that.

It broke off at the gumline. A lower front tooth. Like I said, it doesn't hurt right now.

We have the problem of having enough dentists in small places like here - also, some of the younger ones are greedy. They don't want to fix problems - they want to whiten your teeth, do 'deep cleaning', straighten them for kids, etc. One I went to here wanted me to spend $2k on cleaning. I found another dentist.

But my good dentist died suddenly a year or so ago, so I had to find another'n.

I stopped going to my "nhs" dentist a few year agoI got the "annual" wash and brush up
BUT! I've only 8 teeth left (bottom set)so if a I can suck a chip (large french fry)I'm ok!

It got cold last night. Frost warning. Back up to 70F today and sunny.

We're getting our grass cut again tomorrow. It's getting high. But we let it grow in the back for awhile so the bees could gather pollen from the lavender and dandelions - it's recommended.
